I agree it wasnt the best of 2012.

It just sits there with me, I think it should of been the 2nd movie and TDK should of been the conclusion. I hated Bane, Catwoman was even worse.

This is just an opinion, I know there is a lot of Nolan fans around here and I don't feel like starting an argument.

why are people not liking this game???
Because its not resident evil. At all. Capcom have became cowards and lost their innovative testicles. They wanted to appease and bring in some of the Call of Duty 12 year olds so they decided to make an action gun game. But they didnt have faith enough in their product to make it a new franchise so they stuck the Resident Evil logo and characters in it so atleast the game would sell. And thats super cheap. If i wanted a scary horror game the first thought should be RE. But instead RE now means 3rd person COD.

I like Resident Evil 6 as a "game". As a resident evil game it sucks and is not the experience i want at all. If i go to a store and buy a pepperoni pizza and get back home, open it up and find its a ham and pineapple id be pissed. I like both kinds of pizza but if i wanted Ham & Pineapple id of picked one up. Dont mislead us with the title after 15 years of establishing the brand.

I had mentioned yesterday the two cosplayers I was friends with on Facebook. They do a lot of them, but their Resident Evil 6 cosplays are spot on.

Well said guess us hardcore guys are hard to please.

I'm bias toward the gothic Burton films and I do recognize the Nolan films as good, I just think TKDR fell flat with me and I thought the whole Blake character was unneeded. Plus, I absolutely loathe Levitt.

SolidSnake seems very easily entertained by a lot, not that it's a bad thing. I wish I could be that way, I'm just overly critical to a franchise I've invested a good portion of my life into, just like you guys.

Hopefully RE6 is the last nail in the coffin to the survival action genre.

yeaa man ! I am more of an action/cool kind of guy.
I loved how scary was R1 was back in the day but you have to admit that the game mechanics are the best of all resident evils. I hated not being able to aim while moving. I think they did an amazing job making the game more agile and the graphics are just amazing.

I'll give you that RE6 probably plays the best, but the Tank controls of RE1-2-3-CV and awkward camera angles are what made it so great. Gave such a uncertain fear to playing it.

If RE7 has the same controls fine, but it just needs to go back to horror.

I always hear that tank controls suck and are the reasons the early games suck to some of the new comers. But they were 100% needed for the kind of game they were. The games were set like movies in the camera changes and you needed a tank control system so when the screen changed up is still pushing your character forward in the direction you intended. Ive played some games which had camera changes but no tank controls where you can get stuck in a loop of camera changes because your north, south, east, west controls reset for each screen.

And all though the re 6 controls are the easiest to pick up and play that makes the survival and worry of being able to cope with anything unexpected even less of a threat.

I think blootshots are the creepiest thing in the game but if they dive at you click r1 or whatever and spin kick them away and just kick them to death. That shouldnt be right. Id much rather shotgun them in the air old school, run up and try to shoot it to death on the floor before it gets up.

Tank controls with the camera changes are really under rated. If you wanted to you could just hold the pad with your left hand, walk around a room with the D pad or analogue stick and just navigate your way like that. If you want to do something like that these days with some modern games you need to have your thumb on both analogue sticks and some triggers. Either you try to move left or right and its a sideways walk and you need the right stick to change their direction or you need to constantly swing the camera around to see where you are heading.

I like having a good moan.

The awkward camera angles are what made RE challenging and engaging.

Like the angle when you enter the hallway right before you fight the first Licker in RE2. The camera is aimed at Leon/Claire but it's in perspective from outside the window like it's looking at you.

I think the most challenging camera angles were in the first half of Code Veronica with the Bandersnatches. You could see nothing in a room, hear them then get hit with their arms. But they could also jump and climb over things so you would be blindly shooting where you think the arm came from and miss.

That outside area heading up to the Ashford mansion made Bandersnatches hard. I think there were two of them, and the camera angles made it near impossible to see them. So stressful but fun.
