You saved me the trouble, ahaha. Thank you :hi5:
I'm glad you see what the rest of us did. RE6 is a landfill of nonsense. Less would of been more absolutely. The game should of just had a two character partner system like RE5 and only stayed in Tall Oaks. The whole game has a hard on for Raccoon City... what did they do? Give you 5% of that and the rest is stupid zombies with guns again. Not to mention, the utterly ******** Nemesis rip off.
It's the weirdest hard on you'll ever see in gaming. :cuckoo: It's like they couldn't decide which RE to pay the most tribute to...first few chapters in Leon and Jake is RE2 and 3, maybe some 1 and 4, but wit with a lot of RE5 at its worst, then the latter half is purely RE5 at its even worst. Also Chris is just something else abominable.

The game was far too ambitious for its own good. Four whole long-*** campaigns? RE2 may have 4 scenarios, but they were mercifully short, consistent, varied enough and worked, and more importantly, that game was ambitious and worked, only missing the mark with a few things such as the zapping system. Each campaign in RE6 is more then the length it would take you to complete all 4 scenarios in RE2 and there was even re-use, such as Leon and Jake's shared Ushtank boss fight.

Last week = lifetime ago. Hey, I'm now bitter too, so I've joined the club
No, you must work your way into the club. :lecture you have a great disservice to us all and must work your way to the bottom...

The series really lost it's flare when backtracking was pretty much killed. I can tolerate action to a degree, but backtracking was as important to RE as Zombies. I love the idea of only getting into doors I've seen way later in the game. When you come back from the Guardhouse, the Mansion has a completely different atmosphere since it's new music and there's Hunters everywhere.

RE7 looks like it's going to be backtracking heaven again. Nice closed in tight rooms and hallways with no a lot of evading room with the addition of needing to save the game again which is a HUGE welcome back.

But as for RE6, I truly HATE globe trotting crap. I hate it in films, and I hate it in games because it's trying to be a film. There's exceptions, but MGS4 and RE6 are the worst culprits I can think of.
No worries :lol

Just funny, I think I actually chuckled out loud when I read your total 180 after beating the game.

What would you say is the worst part about the game?

I think you meant to quote Matt S, but IMO the best part other than the obvious first chapter for Leon is when Sherry and Jake talk about their fathers. For me, the worst part of the game is the weak *** villains and Jake's mere existence. Jake is an insult to Wesker's character.

Oh I directed it to you actually. I would agree that Jake is the biggest sin the series has ever committed. They knew they ****ed up with him being killed off, so they throw this cheap unlikable "Donte" level knock off. The entire game is a mishmash of what made the series great, but it doesn't work whatsoever. It's like putting the first five games in the Brundlefly telepod and what you get on the other end is this mangled merged mess that's RE6.

I really hope Umbrella Corps is canon for the fact that the RE5 Wesker was a clone... however stupid that is.

Well, yeah.....when I finished the Leon Storyline, I was pretty into RE6. When I finished the Chris one, I had serious concerns with pacing. It was just tedious. And the Jake and Ada storylines felt unnecessary. Took me 27 hours to beat on Normal, which makes that 5 hours longer than the RE4 playthrough. They should have just focused on the tone of the leon storyline and made that longer.

Speaking of Jake, was he ever meantioned prior to RE6? The character was cool and all, but did not need to be related to Wesker in any way. Looked and sounded nothing like him, so why go there?

I am kinda glad RE7 is a return to the survival horror. Don't think I could do RE6 part 2.....the fact that we have no idea how it connects to the larger universe is pretty intriguing to me. And last comment on RE6: ada needs to go. Her quips were just annoying.

I wish Ada stayed dead in 2. :lol she was cool in 4 but her and Leon's story is done. Move on Capcom and Ada/Leon fans. :lol

The only reason to keep her around after RE4 is if her and Leon bang... which they didn't. I don't understand why RE is so sexless. Not actually having *** mind you, but no relationships between the characters... like ever?

Amen! Jake is a **** character. That cliffhanger at the end Is funny. Did they actually think we cared what happened to this fool in the present and future? What an unlikable wanna be cool **** that guy was.

I expect wesker's son to cool, calm and smart. Not some loser who can't shut his mouth for two seconds.

Back tracking works when there's new areas or different things in the previous area, to make it worth the player's time. The examples with RE worked in its favor, especially REmake with the new areas outright. The addition of needing to save the game will probably not sit well with players however, but 'innovative save systems' never did and I can understand. Also, in some cases back tracking can go too overboard. I think Code Veronica had this in spades and it was pretty annoying, RE3 at times as well but Nemesis actually somewhat made it justifiable.

Yeah see, that globe trotting thing is a huge part of RE6's problem. Especially when in the end they somehow all ended up in China, but the issue is it led into the ambitious problem and how the game was too far all over the place. It never made up its mind.

..........also Pliss. MGS 4 is a film. :lol

I still can't believe that not only is RE so sexless, for an M rated series, but the fact that of all characters, Wesker had a son. And had *** with someone. :lol There is something so wrong with an egomaniac like Wesker, who turned down Excella's innuendos down, choosing a random *** peasant. Wesker would have made Jake's mother his foot stool! :lol

Jake's personality is a mesh of various Troy Baker personalities as the most generic, anti-hero type. Throw in Daddy issues and such and you got a mediocre at best character.

Like I said . Hope his *** dies in the first two seconds of this new game

He's probably one of Capcom's left overs. :lol "cool" "edgy" concept for a character but failed miserably. I'll be surprised if he comes back. He's probably another Sheva and Carlos.

Carlos not returning sucks, he was amusing and actually contributed at least. He wasn't thrown in for good measure, he fit with the series camp tone :lol and at least his role showed Umbrella's willingness to sacrifice their own and to cover themselves up. Sheva? Literally there to be a token black protagonist, and maybe even token female. Jake was to prey off the nostalgia and fanfare for Wesker

After Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5's...what, 8 GB? update I'm not surprised anymore.
