Searching eBay and filtering the results to "sold" will help you greatly.Does anyone know roughly how much a used Hot Toys Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine and Wesker are going for these days? Trying to build a RE collection but I feel I might not be able to afford them ahaha. Only have a Leon and Ada Wong figure for now.
Imo the HT RE5 line are pretty overpriced now considering their quality. I bought a beat up Midnight Albert back in November for my bday for about $250. The clothes had deteriorated and stained the body. Was able to salvage the head, neck, hands and boots. Common to see that fig in poor shape. Not worth paying the $500+ people often ask for used ones, unless it's in excellent condition, or comes with all of its accessories (which mine didn't).Searching eBay and filtering the results to "sold" will help you greatly.
Mine are still stuck in Shenzhen, apparently "getting ready to take off". Only four more weeks to go.View attachment 555024
My two Claire’s are sure moving!
Not bad! Her eyes look a little weird in that last pic though? Looks like one eye is looking off to the side or something. Maybe it's just the camera angle.Being down in New Zealand, I'm usually the last to get anything in hand and have to live vicariously through others' pictures... but not this time!
My "Locomotive Girl" arrived today... and she's... okay.

Forearm skin tone doesn't match the hands, which is always something that bugs me. The hands are also kinda glossy and with very little detail.

I wasn't sure how they'd do the embossed design on the back of the jacket, turns out they decided to print it in black. Not too bad, but not the best.

The boots are awful. The buckles aren't even painted, so that'll be the first thing to fix. The shading is also bizarre with it sprayed haphazardly with darker tones that don't follow any natural shape. They're also very hard plastic, so no ankle movement at all. That might be an issue for stability as her hips are also extremely limited with the cut of the jeans.

The belt is okay, although attaching the holster is not fun. If that larger pouch looks very flat... it's because it is. There's almost no depth to either pouch. The larger one is open and I'll probably add something to bulk it up a bit, but the smaller one is sealed shut, so it'll have to stay that way.

On mine, the zipper nearly broke trying to undo it, so use caution when attempting it! (I wanted to check out the jacketless look from the end of the game, but I don't think I'll be trying it anytime soon). That sounds like a lot of negatives, but there's a lot of good as well. The first being, that I think the sculpt has turned out pretty nicely. It's definitely a very close likeness to the remake model. Paint is clean and the eyes look much better than my SWToys Remake Jill (which is getting replaced by the Hot Heart once that eventually releases). The body seems decent if a bit limited. The tailoring seems nice overall, and the accessories are decent if unremarkable. I don't think she'll wow anyone in hand, but hey, it's a Remake Claire and that's something we haven't had before, so I'm pleased to have her. Keen to see what everyone else thinks!
Thats what I was thinking. The way the sculpt is painted looks exactly like SW's work, in other words: airbrushed. Where as Hot Heart used dry brushing+air on their Claire. Not bad! Definitely needs a body swap. Reminds me of SWToys

But yeah, definitely repainting the boots when I get her. And I'll most likely be replacing her belt with the other Remake clothing kit that came out awhile back. The jacket also seems more accurate from that kit (minus the print on the back) than this one.
Overall decent looking figure. Like you said, we finally have a RE Remake Claire so thats something!

Heck, even the packaging looks exactly like SWtoys. lol Maybe UB is a little side project of theirs or something.
She looks real disappointing... I had hoped they would have fixed those massive zippers and the chain. The head sculpt and accessories are about the only good things going for it. I don't like the clothes overall. Might switch them out when mines arrives.Being down in New Zealand, I'm usually the last to get anything in hand and have to live vicariously through others' pictures... but not this time!

Yeah it could've been the photo angle. That looks much closer to the promo photos. With a little bit of extra work, I think that sculpt could end up looking pretty nice.View attachment 555356
I think it's just my poor photos, the eyes look pretty good to me in hand. It does feel very similar to SWToys, although thankfully without the weird tan that Jill has! Would love a slightly less-bored expression though! There's a lot about this Claire that could be better - part of me regrets sleeping on the Hot Heart version - but overall, I think she's pretty solid, just with some obvious areas of improvement. I'm trying to think of her as a good base rather than a perfect release as is, as such, I'm pretty happy - even if I need to repaint the boots, and maybe change the belt... and maybe the jacket. Hmm, yeah... Anyway, hopefully, you all will be happy with her, once she turns up!
She's way undersized. She looks like 1/7 scale.A body swap wouldn't be a bad idea. I didn't realise this until this evening though when I tried putting her on the shelf that she's also quite petite:

She's side-by-side with Leon here, her eyeline is midway through the Stars badge on his shoulder, and she's noticeably shorter than the SWToys Jill.
Yeah, the more I look at her on the shelf, the less happy I am - she's just so tiny. The sculpt is pretty solid, easily the best part of this release for me.She's way undersized. She looks like 1/7 scale.
Looks like a little girl next to Leon.
Too bad as I think the sculpt is not bad with a little touch up. And other than the boots, the other accessories are not bad.

Have you compared her skin tone with any TBLeague bodies yet? Judging from the photos, my guess would be TBL's Pale tone. I'm thinking an S24A? Or one of the Poptoys semi-seamless bodies.
Fired up the game again and took a look at her boots. As ugly as this this figures boots are, the in game model isn't much better imo. lol

I don't think I'll be sticking with that those colors when I repaint mine. lol
Seeing this Claire made me wanna go and modify my HH Claire. lol
Repainted the eyes blue and also made her hair a bit more red and less purplish (already started on the hair in the first 2 pics).
I also used pastels to add a bit more color to her face to make it look less pale.

Nothing spectacular I know, but sometimes it's the small changes that make the biggest difference.
