Looks like we'll have to play this Remake instead.

It seems Super Duck generally likes to make their figures/sculpts look "sexy", which is why they usually pick the bustier S12 body for their kits. Or something like that, thats my guess anyways. lol
Bit weird, lol.

The clothing quality is pretty much the same. The SD stuff fits the larger TBL bodies better. The SW stuff works better with the smaller S25/24 bodies though, but is too tight for the larger bodies.
Good to know, thanks.

I was all for trying out the SW stuff first, but if the clothes will be too tight for an S17 I'll have a rethink.

The HH boots are black with a grayish dry brushing, gives them a dirty/used look.
That's great, as it's black boots I am after. Nice little touch with the gray.

The MTToys boots are pretty game accurate too, but are painted brown for some reason.
Yeah, that and the baggy clothes let that set down IMO.

As for your last question, promo pics are always taken of the prototype that company has made specifically for showcasing and photos. So it'll usually be a more accurately detailed, better polished version of what we usually end up getting. But that depends on the manufacturer too of course. Some care more than others.
Ah right, gotcha.

Do SD ever come close to their prototypes when they release their mass produced sets?

In the case of seamless bodys , I am still new with these, is there a certain body that would be best for a carlos remake? still going crazy looking for a black body for marvin , got the 11c ps jiaou body and it seems wheat and not black at all.

I tried taking a few shots of Tyrant last night using the screen method that you shared on here some time ago. They aren't nearly as professional as yours though. One of the downsides of only having a cell phone camera to work with. lol
I also ran into a problem with this guy, seems he can't stand on his own legs - they don't hold his weight. Either he keeps falling over or his legs just buckle and collapse altogether, so this was all I ended up with that was worth keeping. 😅

Why is Chris wearing a helmet in RE Village 3rd person mode??
If a village Chris figure was to happen in his tactical endgame look, would anyone display with the Helmet??

Sharing this here just in case someone's also having tight shoulder joints on the Patriot Studio zombie cops.

You really do great work with these touch ups. I wish I was as skilled at such intricate work.
Thank you!
Unfortunately it wasn't always that way. 😅
Attempt 01.jpg

I'm slowly working my way up to full repaints. Takes a lot more time, that's for sure. And eyebrows are the worst!
The blueprint's mostly already there for touch ups.
I've definitely ruined my share of head sculpts during my time with this hobby. lol

Got this from Prime 1's Next Level Showcase teaser. Looks like Lady D, going by the the three roses.

I imagine a lot of trial and error was necessary as you developed your own technique. You've certainly come a long way comparing both those pics. It's impressive!

I'm curious, how exactly have you learned this craft?

I learned the basics from Darren Carnall's Kylo Ren tutorials. I couldn't quite get the same results that he does with a brush though (see Lara head sculpt lol), so I had to implement some ideas that are (vaguely) shown on 357Partment's Insta page and just kinda mash the different methods together until something worked for me.
I always find it fascinating when someone manages to capture an actor/actress's likeness nearly 100% on a sculpt. Just blows my mind. lol
I'm still a loong way off from that level of skill though.

I did a quick lookup of both and wow, they are ridiculously talented.

I'll be having a watch of Darren's Kylo Ren vids on YT when I have more time.

So how long did it take before things clicked for you with your own style?

Agree 100%. It's an art I never tire of.

Your recent work proves you are well on your way. I look forward to seeing what you do next. :)

How many head sculpts would you say you have worked on thus far since you began?

Honestly hard to say when it first clicked. I'd have to say maybe when I started using an air brush. After that I just picked up whatever tips/tricks I found online and tried adding it to see what worked and what didn't.
It's been close to a year now since I first started, but it's been very off and on due to work and life. My V sculpt is actually one of the first full repaints that didn't get scrapped, mostly because it didn't require any form of likeness.
I've mostly just been doing touch ups however, it takes less time and is much easier to do.
But I am also working on three other sculpts that I'm fully repainting though. It'll depend on how the likenesses turn out on whether or not I'll be able to share them. lol 😬
