Made some minor touch-ups on the Hot Heart sculpt. Looks like it could have some potential for a full repaint.

Noticed a little spot on her nose so have contacted Kit, hopefully I can get a replacement

Also, is this spot meant to be empty?

Mine also has some king of shine on the nose it’s not a spot but there’s something. Haven’t contacted Kit as photos can’t capture it much. Yes that spot was empty.

It looks like a tiny chip on the sculpt. Mine doesn’t look like that but there’s definitely something in that spot on mine as well. At first I thought it was a paint chip as I have no luck with that recently, but it isn’t. It is crazy how there’s usually something on the main sculpt while alternative sculpts are just perfect lol. Happened with Limtoys Nathan recently, waiting to update on that, haven’t heard from Kit, hope I’ll get a replacement too.

Yeah man, I feel bad, almost every figure I get from kit has an issue, I’m sure he’s tired of hearing from me😭😭

I just have really bad luck though, most figures I get outside of kit also have issues as well, even most of the customs I get.

I agree. For me that curse started with InArt Aragorn last year, then Soo Soo Geralt followed (two copies both had the same nose chip) then Limtoys Nathan, then Ada…I mean small imperfections here and there are okey but on the face it’s totally unacceptable. I feel also very guilty whenever I complain about issues as it’s not Kit’s fault but we also pay lot of money for these and factories should put their mess together. I was very excited about Nathan and for some weird reasons I opened defective copy first and it totally killed my hype. Whenever I get anything new now it’s 50/50 and usually it’s always a facial issue.

the glossy spot is due to under constant contact with the plastic tray and gloss transfer from the cheap plastic bag being held too tight to it this is why Hot Toys and other reputable brands wrap their head and hands with SPECIAL plastic and some neck protector. Rookie mistake not to.

happens to neca stuffs too.

if you are religious maybe do a prayer when it was sent out, another prayer when you received it and one more prayer when you open it.

Yes, it is due to the plastic..
But, it happens to hot toys too..
Mine happened 2 times, I need to send the headsculpt to local painter to fixed it..
Last time it was hot toys Anakin episode 2 where the paint chip.. They use plastic tray and wrap the headsculpt with plastic.. the plastic even torn..

The ultimate solution to prevent this is to not use any plastic trays or plastic wrap, but use a black foam like Hot Toys packaging in DX series..

i can't fit the leather boots on ada,am i doing something wrong ? i cant get them to snap on the metal ball
I am the same as well...I can't get them to snap. I tried heating the boots with a hair dryer but doesn't seem to work... I am trying it with a s33b body ...wondering if the metal ball for the feet is larger than the body the boots are meant for which I think could be the s10/12...

Does anyone know?

I had this problem with their first Ada release. I had to separate the top leather part of the boots from the firmer plastic part at the heel, extract the "foot" part and dremel the opening to make it a bit wider.

There's a tacky adhesive inside the boot, so you'll can reattach the leather part to the top of the foot and just put a bit of superglue on the bottom of the foot part to reconnect back to the heel.

It may sound overcomplicated, but trust me. Being able to put the boots on without struggling or trying to find some way to warm up the socket is priceless.

Can confirm that certain plastics have a strange effect on paintwork.

As mentioned in other replies and threads, I've worked in the model railway business for nearly 6 years now and within that time have learned that wrapping your fancy models - or in this case, figures - in any plastic wrap, including bubble wrap, is a recipe for eventual disaster; it WILL damage your paintwork. It could take days, could be years. I now always wrap things in tissue paper first if plastic or bubble is planned. Expanded polystyrene foam (the annoying white stuff that your electronics are packed in) can also do this.

Moral of the story: wrap your figures in something else.

I got my Ada 2.0 MT today, it’s probably the best figure I’ve gotten, and that includes the Damtoys Claire. Here’s some photos alongside the Frank Jaeger RE3 Jill, the ducktoys RE3 Remake outfits and repainted RE3R Jill head. I’m not an expert on these things, so bear over with me if the poses and outfits aren't up to par with the rest of the talent in this thread. Probably gonna order a S17B body for the other Ada outfit.
