thats i mean .. i mean if silent hill would be coop (except the vita one ) there will no point more on it .. always on playing coop one of the coop partner will run before or show everything ... its like when you feel more fear while watching a horrormovie? if you watch alone or with others ?

Some games I prefer solo, but that's just me. I think Capcom should a take a break with it.

RE6 for me is the weakest on my list. I had more fun playing ORC.

RE3, REmake, RE2, Classic RE, Code Veronica, Zero, RE5, RE4, RE6.

As for the non canon games: Outbreak series, ORC, Dead Aim, Survivor. I never played any of the portable ones or those Chronicles.

My guess is that ORC was released to make gamers have an early taste of what was coming with RE6

re 6 was a terrible game? It was closer to the original RE's than 4 and 5 ever were. It had the old school cast, zombies, a virus, night time city settings. It even threw in old school camera changes here and there and tons of nods to the past. But then it became a complete re-haul of the franchise too in the same beat. Its better than 4 & 5 as an RE game. The only thing it lacked was a great OST and the inventory system was too child friendly.

RE6 holds your hand throughout the entire game, and is completely noob friendly. It is nothing like RE at all. If anything its like Operation raccoon city.

Those dreadful resident evil movies have the old school cast in them as well. Does that make them good? No.

The movies did well enough to be onto the 5th by now without cancellation. I think the newest is the worst of the bunch, but people still buy them.

I love the original games too but why is the franchise not allowed to evolve in any way without it being for the worst in some peoples eyes?

There wouldnt be a franchise now if every game was like the first hand full. Thats why it changed. And the franchise is selling more games now than ever. And all though game sales strictly dont make the game "better" for the amount of people who bought it its a sign that its good enough for other people to enjoy without being stuck in the past. I like the game, ive got a 60 year old family member who loves the game (and has played the originals) and my nephew loves the game (and hasnt played the originals).

I could pretty much guarantee if they brought out a slow paced, die and you go back to the start, ammo light, bad guy light game that it would fall on its arse to the casual gaming public. There would only be old school RE and survival horror fans that would enjoy its style. 70% Of people wouldnt have the attention span to actually work at the game like they had to in the olden times. I convinced a fellow board member to get Resident Evil 2 the other week and hes only did 30 minutes of gameplay and he really doesnt like it. Times have changed, so have the games.

Re6 wasnt bad at all. But i just picture people sitting there " pfff"ing at what it is without giving it a chance for the sake of hating. I like to watch lets plays on youtube now and then to get peoples reactions on the game and all i hear is original this, old school that. And they make themselves not enjoy the game. They sound like grandparents who dont like that their grand daughter is dating a black man.

Assassins Creed 3. Now that was the biggest waste of time ive played this year.

RE6 basically wipes your ass for you, its a noob gamer's paradise.
The franchise should have stopped with RE5, crapcom is just punching out games now because their greedy, not to please the fans anymore.

its somehow ridiculous that capcom ruined one of the famoused videogame franchise in the history of videogames to beat a simple ego shooter..

and at the movie parts: the most people are so easy to impress i remember on the premiere of re afterlife was a 3 people sitting at the site from my bf they talking so loud at every minute and they discuss and comparison re afterlife with ice age....

I can understand changing up the series for a new audience but I can't say enough that RE4 still felt like the same franchise but just a different flavor. RE4 was creepy as hell, especially in the castle section.

As much as I hated RE5 (most of which I will admit was because I couldn't stand Chris) was the mind numbing shootouts with stupid Majini.

Capcom, stop putting weapons in the hands of zombies already.

Sometimes people counter that with "BHUTT YOU LHIKA NEMEZIZ ANDH HYE HADD AH RHUCKET LUNCHERZ!!!"

That was a one and done and Nemesis still didn't have much intelligence beyond wielding it.

The problem is that RE isnt meant to be a COD shooter. Its a game that's made to make the player think, conserve ammunition, survive, but yeah, crapcom wanted to please the mainstream COD audience and what we got was a piece of garbage game.
