RE4 felt like a spinoff of the series like I said. It was different, "cool", but a lot people wanted zombies back for RE5 , but half of the fans were kinda disappointed.

Yeah, RE4 as a game is great. My problem with it is the story/setting. It feels so disconnected from the rest of the REverse.

i agree 4 did feel that way looking forward to fighting zombies again .

When i win the lottery im going to build the RE 1 mansion and hire people to dress as zombies and plant them randomly around the area. I will pipe in the appropriate area music depending on where you are too.

I agree guys. I loved RE4 but then I saw a trailer for RE5 the very first. It looked scary it looked overwhelming ,it looked like a horror game and then well things started to change. When the the game came out it felt like RE 4.5 at first I didnt mind but then I felt that it was really sloppy and just another poor action game rather than RE. I mean you fight wesker in a freaking Volcano for heavens sake.

This game I feel is like a tribute game to RE its more like a friendly fan game to tide us over until RE6. I think capcom knows that fans want horror back,The only thing I dont get is why most fans what the clunky glichy controls back but whatever. This game shouldnt be taken sseriously at all, its one of those fun games that the company makes to tide fans over until the next big thing hits. I will get it becuase I love RE. I just know they will go back to there roots. I would like to see somthing along the lines of Claire trapped in an abandoned Umbrella asylum, or a whole game taking place in the woods with mysterious monsters hunting you and you have to use quick wits to survive. Thats ____ing RE right there.

You can play as them in at least one of the multiplayer modes. Using them in a story mode capacity?...no idea.

Not sure yet... for now it only looks like the Umbrella soldiers seem to be the only playable during story mode. Who knows...
