:lol never change Brando :hi5:
Not Action RPG?

Super Mario 3 also has an inventory system where you can store the power ups and open the screen in big map world, so does Rockman.
Excuse you, but we are in America. We do not refer to Megaman as Rockman :lecture
Ladies and gents, 12 years a potato..
12 year old french fries. Not good enough.

Re: Resident Evil Remake Remastered

OK, well it's 18 years since 1997, maybe you might wanna spend 5 minutes to have a quick look up on the definitions?

1st time i hear an RPG has puzzle elements in it, there's lots of maze in most RPGs, but puzzle is rare, and most games with RPG elements involving action/FPS are considered Action RPG, in this case RE4,5,6 can be considered as Action RPG.

Because based on your definition on RPG, all games can be considered as a RPG because whether it's Need For Speed, Call Of Duty, Resident Evil, Final Fantasy, Sim City they all involve some sort of plot/character/mission, even Angry bird can be considered as 1.

Just my 2cents.
See, you could have left out that first sentence.. & I'd actually somewhat appreciate your post & input. The problem is, you're talking to me like I'm an idiot, & that doesn't wash with me dude.

I've been pretty clear about me playing catch up with all this. I watch game review shows, check out their websites, the youtube vids, read up on (relevant) game related forum discussion, & know at least enough now to walk into a shop & not ask the kinds of stupid questions you assume I'll be doing. If I'm interested in getting a game, it's only after doing some research on it - as any intelligent person would.

I think the others here know perfectly well where I'm coming from, regardless of how on the money I am about genre nuances. You're focusing on bull**** - & repeating it over & over. That's not helpful man, it's just ****ing irritating.

Just my two cents. :)

I wouldn't worry about it man, it's cool. He does that in many, many threads and has exhibited no credibility whatsoever. He just likes to argue because he's desperate for attention.

I'm sorry dude, i didn't bear any sarcasm in the 1st sentence, but it's just a suggestion, i mean how hard can it be to figure out what RPG is, unless you are a casual gamer whom never played a single real rpgs.

I've opened a thread elsewhere just to check and see whether any folks actually consider RE an RPG just to make sure i'm on the right track on the term RPG.

Anyway as long as you are happy with your own definition of the term, however using it inaccurately on public forums will cause much confusion & debates, for example what we are experiencing right now. And i'm sure those who agree RE 1,2,3 as RPGs are either trolling or much like you, don't know what RPG in gaming is.

maybe for just 1 post you can explain to me how RE1,2,3 can be considered as a RPG? i get the inventory system & item menu part just like Mario 3 & Rockman.

are you the same gamer who considers M.Bison Balrog? :lol

we all know most of the time Game titles/names were changed from the original to a new title from their original source just so they can sell their game in another market without getting sued for copyright infringements or some "misleading" title. When we talk about M.Bison we all know it's the Boxer character in Street Fighter II whom resembles Mike Tison but was swapped with Balrog & Vega so the real Mike Tyson can't do anything about it.

Re: Resident Evil Remake Remastered

Aw, no love for Resident Evil on Gameboy Color?

That was actually good, though - or at least it would have been...

I actually owned a Game.Com when I was young. Two, in fact. The first one developed some kind of persistent blue line down the middle of the screen within a week of purchase, the second had some internal components missing. They were both returned for full refunds.

I'm almost tempted to go on Ebay and buy one of those pieces of **** to add to my retro handheld collection, it certainly was a remarkable device :lol

Re: Resident Evil Remake Remastered

Stay on topic, and please shut up about your RPG crusade already.

This thread is about RE1 Remake, so we are still on topic even if it's just a discussion on what genre it is. And watch your words.

Re: Resident Evil Remake Remastered

What is going in this thread lots of nonsense.

I don't play Street Fighter (for now) so no :dunno:

You aren't a moderator :cuckoo: and considering you're spouting incoherent nonsense, perhaps you should watch yours.

i only wrote that when people start using rude wordings. i don't need to be a mod to do so. and saying RE is not a RPG is nonsense? talk about trolling...
