Yeah.. I was getting ready to post this as well!

See SS.. there will be more interest in this Line.. so please step up the love for the LOTR 12" and PF figs... PLEASE!!!!!:monkey3

Now hopefully we can start getting some Non-Movie characters into this line. Most of my favorite characters from Tolkien are found in his non-LoTR writings.

I dont get the joke. Who IS this person. Is he famous?
Seriously though, Im not sure I am down with this. Can someone wxplain to me WHY this is being released now? If tolkein himself abandoned it why does Christopher come back and taint it with just apparent 'editing'? If it was abandoned I doubt it would have been completed meaning that CT is either finishing it himself (which I find wrong) or even some other reasons.
Can someone explain to me exactly?

though i know nothing about what it is about, but i may buy this since it says it contains characters from LOTR and middle-earth.

Have you read The Silmarillion?

That's JRRT's work edited together (but also partly written) by Christopher, this is just more of the same.

Tolkien was working on stories set in Middle Earth right up till his death, no idea when he last worked on the Narn I chin Hurin but it is most probably the most complete of his Unfinished Tales.

Christopher would not be finishing it as anyone who's read The Sil/Unfinished tales knows the story and how it ends and I really can't see the problem with him fleshing out the details in the parts JRRT did not get the chance to.

I'm sorry to say this, but I kind of like The Silmarillion a little better than LoTR. Both are great works, but I like the history book feel read of The Silmarillion.
