I had to move mine from the main floor where I assembled it to the second floor on top of a detolf. I don't recommend this.

Reading that just gave me a nightmare in the middle of the day -- a daymare, I suppose --

I'm gonna have to hire the team of stagehands that assemble and disassemble the stage for the Super Bowl halftime show to move mine! I just don't trust myself!

Congrats Custo! I have one more flex payment at the end of the month and then my EX will be shipping to Toronto. Out of curiosity, did you get dinged with customs/import charges? I haven't purchased a PF/statue this large before and I'm worried it's going to run me an extra $100+ to get into the country.

Just tax and that's it. I never get charged customs or import charges from Sideshow.

I definstely wouldn't just hold the base. Being so tall, it wobbled in my hands when I first picked it up and nearly gave me a heart attack. Have someone support the horse.

I'm a SERIOUS perfectionist and I'm gonna want his robes looking as close to the prototype pics as possible...looking at some other members photo's they look to be scruffier than the prototype

Hmm, good to know. So, with the cloak, is there a snap type button that goes around the neck plus the little pocket inside the hood for the "head" to go in?

Or is there more to it?

Thats about it really. I stuck a sort of "how to" vid a few pages back if you want to have a look. I'm with the lads and lasses though, it is a bugger to put together.

I didn't actually put the head/hood in the pocket, I just Futz'd it on top.

Thinking after I built mine they should have included little A - B - C stickers or A -B - C diagrams.

It was kind of like building something from Ikea with worse instructions (if that's even possible...)

The outer cloke comes folded in a bag. If you want it like the proto you'll have to steam or iron it.

Saying that I'm leaving mine because I think if you let it settle for a month you'll have a nice mixture of wrinkled and smooth.

I honestly didn't even know that pocket was meant for the head. Diagrams with stickers and pictures WITHOUT a black background would have made things a lot easier

SS always declares full value of the piece their shipping. How do you get around paying customs fees?

i live near Montreal in canada and the fedex guy is always happy asking me for my credit card. im paying taxes, duties, and all the extras (#(!" that i must pay for.

ex. lets take for example the Gimli maquette Exclusive 250$ in Us dollars , plus 25$ of shipping, also i have to pay a 45$ of taxes and duty fee.

please let me know your trick.

Guys, you should only get charged tax and a small fee. This is a made in the USA product and with the Free Trade agreement, you should not pay duty. I only paid a total of $44 for the Hulk Maquette in total last month.

Yes, this afternoon. I missed out on early processing cuz I replied twice when I got that notice. I'll pick it up at UPS tomorrow, listed at 33 pounds.
