Re: Ringwraith on Steed PF
To my thinking, the revival of the environments line by Weta might reflect on them bridging the LOTR-Hobbit collectibles. Of the new pieces, both Bag End and Rivendell are strongly featured in both books. Luckily, the fanbase surveyed overwhelmingly requested both of these as the start pieces. Can't imagine Weta folks not immediately figuring out that they can get a jump on Hobbit collectibles by revisiting LOTR, even before they're officially given (or....IF given) the license.
As much as I would be pleased that the higher-end collectibles go to Weta, dunno if their business model or set up at this time could handle the potential flood. IF Weta does get the license (and I cannot imagine why not), they might wind up repeating the previous collaborative effort of SS & Weta or Weta & some other reputable company to help them take some of the load (they provide the initial sculpts and manufacture/distribution to be handled by the other company). Will be very interesting how this will play out.
