i really have my doubts about this statue now after the riders series disaster. Unless sideshow change the way it manufactures horses and insert support pins/steal frame into the horse legs and tails.

I have bought 3x gandalf shadowfax, 2x aragorn blackgate, and 1x legolas glimli. Only the legolas was defect free, everything else all have broken/cracked tails and/or horse legs.

Think i am done with horses for a bit..unless this one doesnt have a tail...

Me too, and like you Josh, I can add the RWOS too.

All still in perfect condition.

Having said that, I can see how the RWOS PF could have some stress issues.

From what I have seen so far, it will only have 3 points of connection to the base. Add to this the extra weight due to size.

But I have faith SS won't produce this piece till its issues are resolved.

Would love too see some more of this bad boy soon.

Interesting--I bought Gandalf/Shadowfax, Aragorn/Brego, Legolas/Gimli, Ringwraith/Steed and had no problems or breakage with any of them.

Honestly i think maybe you guys just didnt look closely. Exam the horse tails, the part where the tail connects to the horse behind. All of mine has cracks, i gave up trying to find a perfect one. Also got two where the front leg were broken outright but i managed to superglue it back and it looks ok.

Holy mother of God! This sculpt looks wickedly fantastic! Hoping they don't F...up with to much fabric, other than that, a sculpt for the ages.

I also own all steed oriented LOTR pieces, & had no problems regarding breaks or cracks. Now move your arses Sideshow, & get this masterpiece released!

Yeah the RWOS is known for front leg issues which aren't attached to the base. The issue here is the stress from being in the box and the way the foam is cut around it pushed the one leg in toward the center of the body. I won an AP RWOS from SS that was sealed when I got it and the leg was broken. I didn't know to check until someone who wanted to buy it asked that specific question, and sure enough it was damaged as he predicted.

And that wish has a better chance of being met, if my wallet gets a break for a while.

Really looking forward to this piece also, but hope the timing between this and the Sauron LSF is spread out a little. Also, with the Hobbit potentially adding a large set of statues over the next few years, it will be hard to pick and choose.
