I don't think the reg ES will be much higher. I'm thinking about 750.

look at the website, the regular version is OPEN EDITION. I really do not like this trend sideshow is moving towards.

I'll bet you're right.
If that's what they're doing, I wouldn't be happy about that either. But I don't know if that's really what they're doing. It says "Limited Edition." I think they just haven't set the edition size for the regular version yet. I'm sure it will be limited, but they just haven't said how limited yet. They will. That's been their pattern anyway.
Usually they set the edition size for the exclusives first (which they did just recently) ... and then a few weeks (or months) later, they set the edition size for the regular edition. Back in the day they used to set the edition sizes before they went up for pre-order, but these days they wait to see how the orders are going before they set the edition sizes.
At least I hope that's what's going on.
We been through this before, i dont understand why people are still confused. It's very clear.
"Limited Edition: TBD" - With edition size, to be announced later.
"Limited Edition" OR "Limited Edition: Limited Edition" - Open ES make as many for as long as they want.
The Stormtrooper PF has been available for 8 months already and it's still listed as "Limited Edition".
With SSC, you will never know. They are not consistent in such things.
Ah. Then my bad then. Apologies. I hadn't heard about that one. (Not a Star Wars collector.) Of the lines I collect/watch I've never seen that before.
But still, it's not standard procedure. So hopefully an edition size for this bad boy will show up in the coming weeks. I'm not ready to give up on it yet.
there is no reason anyone should buy the reg with the ex still in stock, the $ you think you will save now by buying the reg will be far less than the price delta on the secondary market between the ex vs reg down the road. It's a newbie mistake that should be avoided.
The ex on this isn't a must have from the looks of it, so a lot of ppl would rather just save money. I still haven't decided yet, but I can save $200 through a retailer on the reg for this because of ca taxes. That's a big difference, still on the fence though.

$200 difference is a tough decision usually it's not that much. The exclusive with sword hand is actually a pretty good ex, i say one of the higher ranked especially considering the 500 ES, but $200 is also a lot of money you can save right off the bat.
I dont think there is an obvious choice here, guess depends on what you think of the ex.
