you guys are assuming all of this just because of 2 words listed on the site
. It would make 0 sense for them to do that cause it would hurt their Ex sales. Instead of assuming, just ask a SS rep.

There has been great feedback for both of this so this open ES is the result. Our positive feedback did this.

I thought they responded to other statues with this labeling along the lines that Limited edition means that there will be a limited number of pieces but they won't number pieces or keep track of how many they sell. Basically my understanding is that EVERYTHING ever made was therefore limited in that its supply was not infinite. I suspect they will tell you they can't tell you how many they will make, but it won't be in the millions, hundred of thousands, or tens of thousands. They also will not tell you when they will STOP making the piece. That this has crept into the PF lines is troubling I think. But the statue world is clearly divided between those that just buy what they like regardless of any other external factors, and those (like myself) that are price conscious and value conscious and like all the input variables they can get before making a decision on what to do. Because if the reg is made for the next ten years then surely one will be able to save hundreds of dollars if they wait til 6 months after its release.

Do you think lurtz pf ex would sell over $1k if the regular is still available at regular price? Of course not.
Do you think doom pf ex would sell over $2k if the regular is still available at regular price? Heck No

no need to be pissed, i will only buy statues that are not open es, so if sideshow gradually makes more and more statues open es, i will gradually buy less and less. Until i stop buying altogether and just enjoy the ones i have.
hulk was really the only exception i was willing to make because i dont have a hulk statue and needs him to complete the movie avenger setup. Galactus & stormtrooper pf i would all have bought in an instant if not for open es.

I'm actually fine with Reg being open and EX being very limited. It give a good collector's item for those who like that but also allows those that come late in the game to get the reg if they really like a piece.

I got no problem with SS trying to kill the flip-marked by making sure a buyer can always get a reg at retailprice. And at the same time getting the $$ the flippers othervice got.
