I'm doubting we'll get a whole fellowship because I don't think they'll make the other three hobbits.

Something tells me that we'll get a Sam and Bill the Pony PF. I'm not sure why but I really think we'll get one but I think Merry and Pippin have no chance in Hell of being made in Premium Format.

Gotta agree with Mike here. Sam and Bill go together like peanut butter and jelly. The weta piece is very popular and I'm sure sideshow knows that bringing these two to a new medium would be wildly popular as well. Bill is just a wittle pony too so it should be easily to do. I can see it know, a spot on likeness of Sean Astin, a beautifully tailored costume, a fully sculpted pony with all kinds of travel luggage atop him.

They won't repeat a statue that's already been done. I think it's just wild hope! Sam fighting Shelob would be good - without Shelob, obviously! But with Sting and the phial of Galadriel.

Merry and Pippin could look good if they were in their armour, but as Weta done a Gondorian Pippin maybe this time they could reverse the rolls and give you fellowship Pippin and armoured Merry!

I'd love an armoured Merry SSW statue to go with Pip...

They won't repeat it directly but honestly there are some poses that just beg to be done. Aragorn is holding a sword ready to attack, can you honestly say he is the ONLY Aragorn piece like that? Legolas is about to shoot the arrow is Sideshow the ONLY one to do that? Come on, have some imagination. If they do Sam and Bill they'll find away to make it different yet keep the feel of the depiction. Can you imagine a 1:4 Sam even if fully sculpted with various traveling items on him and a faux mane next to Sam? It'd be one of Sideshow's best PFs to date.

Aragorn holding a sword or Legolas about to fire an arrow aren't the same as Sam and Bill. That's how we see the characters of Aragorn and Legolas, it's part of who they are. Bill is not a part of who Sam is. What can they do with that that's different? Have Bill stood on his hind legs juggling? Doing a statue of Sam and Bill as Weta did was an original idea and that's why it's valued so much. Weta used THEIR imagination so Sideshow should use THEIRS and come up with something original that hasn't been done yet. Sam with Sting and the phial is an iconic look for the character and hasn't been done by Sideshow, Weta, Gentle Giant or anyone other than the mini UK collectors models, and they're only available in europe. Sorry, just trying to use my imagination

If combining the two is the only way we will ever see PF's of them, then I say bring it on. Because from every indication from SS so far, those two will never see the light of day on their own.

Sure, if that's the only way we could get them.

I think Yoda is just too small to do as a stand alone PF figure, though he could've came in his floating chair.

Shadowfax had more of a 'character' role in the movie as far as steeds go so I still think Sam and Bill is a none starter as Sideshow/WETA have already acknowledged the the bond between the 2 only known through the book.

Hobbits don't sell, horses do, And no matter how small the role, Bill was in the movie. Yes, Sam and Bill have been done, but the ES's of those original unnumbered statues was relatively small and not everyone who wants one has one. Having the original sell in the $500-$600 range doesn't help either. If SS were to do a 1/4 scale PF version with a better likeness of Sam, better detailing, and in the same price range it would sell extremely well. Making individual Hobbit PF's has already been done and that one sat in SS's warehouse for years. I seriously doubt SS will make the same mistake twice.
As for Merry and Pippin at Pelennor, not a chance. Hasn't that disasterous mistake already been made ? People do not want PF's of "the fellowship" in non-fellowship attire....we already have one too many "poopin' Pippin's" thanks.

agree with every point!!! giving sam and bill the pf treatment will put them at a completely different, higher level. plus at a more reasonable price! now who could be against that?! for sure it will again spark another word war about which is better, SS or SSW, but then again, it will once again be SS's win hands down, as usual!!!

please sideshow, give us sam with bill PF. i think it's about time to do some mix-matching with the LOTR lines... PF + dio = sam & bill; PF + LSB = merry, pippin & treebeard; morgul lord & fell beast... now that's imagination!!!

I would say the popularity has grown though considering what the WETA goes for nowadays.
