The problem with conquest is that the Apes evolved far too quickly. It's fine for Cesar to be that evolved because of his parents, but the other apes became far too human like in the short space of time between escape and conquest.

I think they had to reboot it this way, or they would have had to go right back to the original, or god forbid tried to link it with Burton's version

Hell...Chimpanzaas are scarier to me. When I look at a big silverback...I expect that it can wreak some serious turmoil.

But I look at a cute little (little by comparison to gorillas) chimpanzee and I am not readily thinking that "Bear" from BJ and the Bear is capable of tearing your hands or feet off if he gets a little motivation to do so.

That trailer just looks like something you'd see on Syfy channel at night. The CG looks good but everything else... and Franco?!?! Really?!?!

I'm curious to see how they have the apes take control. In the old flicks you had the combination of apes being bred as pets and then servants so there were a lot of them around, and humanity nuking itself. In this scenario it doesn't seem like a) there would be enough apes to take over, and b) the police and military would wipe them out pretty damn quick.
