I know. The way Horror movies seem to play around here, it won't even be in theaters for Halloween. Dollar theaters if we're lucky.

Thats friggin awesome!!! Killer work (no pun intended)! Did you re-sculpt the mask in any way? :rock

Thanks BNC.... Yeah, the mask is completely resculpted and rehaired. I thought it was just lacking of any of the features of a Michael Myers mask. The SSC version is just a guy in a white mask, doesn't look a thing like Michael. I also removed that god awful elastic in the waistband that kept wanting to open his fly for all to see in...:lol

I think of my custom Myers as my own vision of Mike, not really accurate to any one film, just a cobbled together version from all of the films.

$$$$$. Like it or not, releasing it on or before Labor Day weekend almost guarantees more domestic box office.

It too wish it were in theaters closer to Halloween, but Hollywood only has one calendar and it's all about the green.

Even though Irish is right and it's about when the money can get made, hopefully that same motivation will ring in their heads that hey, special Halloween day/weekend re-release (if it's gone from theaters by then, likely) would also attract people back to theaters to spend more money, barring that the film doesn't suck and no one is interested in seeing it again.

Personally, I don't like that poster at all. It makes it look like the movie is some death metal House of 1000 Corpses style movie. Although with Zombie at the helm, maybe that is truly what we're getting.

That poster is just too hardcore for my tastes.

A decent plan, but my guess is domestic sales will be low enough that by mid-september it'll already be scarcely playing, the hardcore fans will hit it openining weekend, maybe go for repeate viewings if it's good enough, and if it's not enjoyed, it'll tank quick, horror's too much of a niche that it really will have to be something spectacular to keep it's steam for long. My guess is no matter what, it's hardly out anymore by first of October and maybe get's a special re-release for Halloween itself.

I like Zombie's music. His movies...not so much.

I was kind of disappointed with TDR. Hopefully this remake will be good.

How can anyone who likes horror (assuming you like horror) not adore the Devil's Rejects? That movie was so good it should of been made in the 70's.

The Devil's Rejects is a great film. I watch it at least twice a month. Never gets old. I love TDR.:D

Just a few months away now :) To keep the spirit going, here's an old illustration I made with photoshop of classic Michael.

In the beginning I was one that was totally against Halloween being re-made because the original was a movie that shouldnt have been touched. I also agree that the the Fog re-make was nothing short of disasterous, IT WAS! Back to Halloween. I'm going to give the movie a chance because from what I have seen so far it looks ok. Rob made Michael look creepier then hell something that the last couple of Halloweens didnt do. Will it fail? Most re-makes do but it depends on the acting and storyline. We shall see. No matter if Halloween is a remake/prequal we will always have the original which never EVER will be touched in any way. The original was and IS a classic and thats just the way it is no matter how many re-makes they do of Halloween. But again I'm gonna give Robs version the benefit of the doubt right now only because it adds more to Michaels legend and for ONCE puts him back in the spotlight were he hasnt been for a long time.
