You know what I ment...the classic was the anti hero.

So was Royce pretty much.
I think Isabelle was the character who was the true hero of the movie.

Predator 2 was full of character. I don't see your point there. Predator 2 is also ghastly under rated by almost everyone.

Good lord. No...Predator 2 had horribly acted characters. It's not underrated because it's not a good movie. It's just not....once again, I love it, and I'll watch it...but it's over the top crap, and horrible characters really lower the film.

And I do agree Dino. Isebelle was the heart of the movie. She was great.

I guess she had to make do with what she put on the planet with, and I guess it was her weapon of choice.

The Death Row guy only had a little knife, which was quite a funny scene when he was begging for a gun

Have you ever shot a gun before? Shooting on target is not easy. Add on to the fact you're mostly paralyzed.

Ok, first of all, have you ever tried to hip fire a rifle? Let alone a high-caliber sniper rifle? If you want to get mad at Isabelle's technique, get mad that she held the blanking scope about 0.5 cm away from her eye. She would have given herself a black eye from firing once.

I have basic infantry training so yes, I have.

Anyhow I wasn't referring to the ending scene. More when she shot the gangster to put him out of his misery.

Well, the scope's there, might as well make sure you get a good shot, right? It would suck if she didn't aim and hit his arm and just caused him more pain.

And as for Predator 2, I agree with CelticP that although I love the film as well, talk about crappy characters. The only character I liked was Busey and don't get me started on D. Glover again Now that I think about it, I'd love a Predator film from the perspective of Gary Busey's team where it's the Predator being hunted, it might work.

I honestly think Danny Glover played a good role as Harrigan. Then you had Bill Paxton from Aliens. Danny boy. Another Latin woman that played the woman detective. I mean it was good. I really enjoyed the film a lot. It's right behind Predator for me.

Yeah P2 was ok till an old out of shape cop killed a Pred. That was BS for me. Same as the unbelievable long tail that grid had when it impaled chopper in avp.

It's funny you said Paxton from Aliens, because his character in P2 was basically a poor man's Hudson

I know. McFarlanes AVP playset alien attacks predator really exaggerates the length of an alien tail.

As far as P2, Predator 2 was pretty efed up when they finally made it back to his ship. He just took too much damage. Plus he still fought better than Falconer and he only had one hand!

Well a samuarai sword is not something you want to mess with esp if the person handling is proficient with it. It's not used highlander style.

I actually liked that bit of the movie. Made sense cause it became a contest of skill and tactics. Not raw power.

The script writer for P2 ought to be shot for allowing P2 Pred to die that way IMHO.
