I've been a HUGE fan of the Predator movies (at least the first two), and the Predator creature for years. I thought AVP and AVP: Requiem COULD, and SHOULD have been MUCH better. But, they were not. I liked the design of the Predators featured in both movies, it was just the movies themselves that sucked...for the most part.

I am hoping that it will be much better than it sounds. But I have a bad feeling about this. It would be nice to be suprised by the movie. But I'm really doubting that so far.

Im actually real exicted for this movie, I didnt know A predator movie was in production and then BAM!, set pics and a summer release date. Im not gonna reAD the script but i think it looks like a real Gurilla movie, like wat the first Predator was. And the fact it takes place on there planet has me pumped. I have faith, and i Hope its Rated R!!, I actually was thinking "wat if they made a predator movie, but instead the humans go to there world?" Looks like they took my idea lol, Cant wait to see this, Love Aliens & Predator movies and i always will.

i think everyone whining about the humans in this movie won't be happy unless it's a shot-for-shot remake of the 1st movie with the same cast.

I don't care what the humans are like, as long as they're interesting and the story and acting actually make you concerned for the well being of some of them.

To me, the biggest downfall of both AVP films was having a lot of screen time for the humans and having them all played and written as just expendable victims, you pretty much route and wait for them all to die, you don't care about them, and to me, when you have to watch characters for that much time and you don't care about them, that's failure.

In Predator, I wanted Dutch, Poncho, Mac and the girl to get out alive, in Predator 2 I wanted Harrigan and The Lone Ranger to get out alive, in the Alien movies I always rooted for Ripley, I wanted Hicks, Bishop and Newt to make it, Alien 3 I actually wanted the Dr. to make it and didn't like him getting killed off. A:R started to creep into the don't care about them territory.

^when i watched predator 1 and AVP, AVP-R movies....i was rooting for the predators. hoping the predators killed them all.

i think the fact they got adrien brody as the lead means they put some thought into his character.
otherwise, they could've just got channing tatum or will smith as the lead and laugh all the way to the bank.

Adrien Brody's in this? Good, I haven't seen him in much, but I find him an interesting actor that engages you.

whilst thats true I felt that the first avp made the predators the ones to root for , the way they made scar a sort of hero.
All that did was making the aliens look weak and stupid and make the predators look just plain wrong.

But the Predators were fine after AvP and R. The Aliens were reduced to cockroaches. They lost.
