Better to reveal less than too much. I was really amazed that AVPR published photos of the kill blows between Wolf and PredAlien, there really wasn't much left to anticipate in that movie.

I agree with that.
The whole ending of AvP:R given away in the trailer.

I'd just like to see them with the masks on.
We've seen enough of those to know what they look like, so it's not such a big deal.

Definately leave the new BSP face reveal for the movie, but give us a look at the suits and masks.

That's a given, considering.

Too many fans of the original Pred that have been disappointed by ADI's attempt to redo it in AvP.

The Pred fans are going to eat it up, seeing as the new effects team has done a pretty decent job of recreating, in a sense.

This way you can bring in the older fans with the classic design and give the new fans something to see with the new designs.

It does serve a pretty big purpose in the film.

And it gets it's "action" moments.

But, if this movie does well, we may see it again I'm sure.

I think he saves Royce at the end....but gets killed by the BSPs(not completely sure on this though)

I'm all for giving the Preds a new look and I think these are going to be the best designs since the original.

I stated this before, but in the 1st trailer, at 1:39 you see Royce crawling through the mud, then get grabbed by the throat. By one of the BSPs(I'm guessing that might be the end???)

Yep, that's more than likely the end fight between Royce and the BSP.

Well I mainly brought it up because it seems like the marketing is going to play up the Classic's part in this movie bigger than it actually is, probably leading to dissappointment for the unsuspecting viewers who think they're going to see a lot of that Pred in this movie. Anyone not following sites like this is going to think from posters and such that it's the main Pred of the movie probably, even if the BSP was the teaser Pred.

Well I mainly brought it up because it seems like the marketing is going to play up the Classic's part in this movie bigger than it actually is, probably leading to dissappointment for the unsuspecting viewers who think they're going to see a lot of that Pred in this movie. Anyone not following sites like this is going to think from posters and such that it's the main Pred of the movie probably, even if the BSP was the teaser Pred.

I don't think it has to do with keeping the new ones secret, but just using the P1's star power to sell. FOX knows the original film is very popular and the original design regarded as the best of all the Predators, so they're playing that. It's not false advertising because it's in the movie, but it's playing it up bigger than it really is. I'm sure if the Dutch cameo were done, you'd see posters with Arnie's face, new or P1 stock shots, just to help sell this movie more.

This plan could backfire, they know the AVPs didn't do as well as they hoped, so they're trying to bring fans back and redeem the series, but they're going to try and market it off success of the original film and if/when the things they promise with marketing don't come true, it coudl disenchant people more.

Jesus......that kinda made me sad I gotta stop clicking on those spoiler tags............I really can't wait to see that part......the last 20 to 30 min of the movie are probably going to be the best.
