Hey I dont know if this has been discussed before but I just realized the name of the film feels like "Aliens." Is it true they are trying to go that direction, to make it a sequel like in the Alien franchise? Or is it just coincidence? Because from what I've heard it was written soon after the first movie.

That is deliberate. The Alien sequel is called Aliens, not Alien 2. And Rodriguez wanted this name to reflect that.
