it was released from Customs today and so will be available to pick up as early as tomorrow morning!!! WooHoo!!! Unfortunately, War Machine hasn't made it so maybe it may arrive in the last week of the year but I don't mind...Optimus Prime is the one I wanted for Christmas!!! Lol!

it's a possibility but I'm actually thinking about making a continuation of the armour to attach to the stand...hmmmmm...the more I see this on display the more I want to keep the bust. Not sure if SSC will ever release an official MKVI 1:1 bust but this custom one sure is a perfect substitute. Like Chapter2099 mentioned earlier, the design and position of the faceplate is so menacing and reminds me of when IM is about to kick some Drone a$$ alongside War Machine in the IM2 movie

I've actually had a few PMs on the RPF regarding the same thing you mention...whether it's possible to connect other parts to it to make a possible 1:1 iron man armour. Any things possible although due to the way it's been sculpted at the back I doubt very much that this could happen...but this is what gave me the idea to create a possible add on of the armour to hide the chrome display stand...
but i think it works really well as a bust IMO. The Arc Reactor cover actually is removable so I guess you could customise an arc reactor to place inside for a nice touch...I just love the paint app on this. As an owner of the official Sideshow MKIII bust, the paint job is actually x10 better as you can see in my pic where I have greyed out all the colours apart from the head, it just looks like it's from a movie poster 
I know a number of collectors who recieved their MKIII busts from sideshow only to find cracks in the paint or poor paint apps...and that's after receiving the replacement bust too 
thankfully I was one of those lucky ones to recieve one in perfect condition
