Re: RobertoBagg10's Display Thread *UPDATE* SSC IRON MAN MKVI LSB HAS ARRIVED 180/300

WOW guys! Last night was a real rollercoaster regarding Iron Man and especially Arc Reacter Gate :thud: I got my reply back from William @ Sideshow Returns Dept and have been offered a very generous partial refund. Should I accept it or send it back? Well, as I predicted yesterday, once you receive this bust inhand you kind of cant help but fall in love with it and you feel that despite spending a fair bit of cash on this, that you'd certainly miss it in your collection, especially for those Iron Man fans. It's such a beautifully sculpted bust and the paint apps I have to say are great! Battle Damage is a little excessive in some areas but all in all it is well done. So to the Arc Reactor...it's literally welded on! :( I tried to see if I could prize it off but nothing was moving and I wasn't about to ruin the whole bust for the sake of trying to correct the position of the arc. It really is such a shame...:slap such an odd mistake to make...clearly the guys in the factory didn't receive the memo that the Arc Reactor needed to point downwards and instead, all 3000 busts suffered the consequence.

The removable chest plate is awesome and is easily removable by the use of two strong magnets on either side...it couldn't more simpler or easier. Once again, the detail in the under-armour (once the chest plate has been removed) is gorgeous and the light up features really come to life once the chest plate is removed...I completely forgot that this clenched right fist also lighted up which was a nice surprise.

So back to the beginning...do I accept the refund or send it back? At the end of the day it's Iron Man :rock and despite the Arc Reactor being the wrong way round :slap I just feel the overall design and look of this bust is too good to not have...I'm not saying it compensates for the incorrect position of the Arc Reactor but when I put into perspective how much i'll be getting refunded and the overall quality of the bust, then I think I'd rather have this in my collection than not.

So here are my pics guys...sorry again for the delay of not posting last night but after hanging around waiting for the Keaton Bats PF to get released and then unpacking the Iron Man bust, etc...time kind of got away! :lol

Enjoy my friends :wave

Great looking bust.
Not to bothered with the Arc Reactor… If you guys hadn't pointed it out I would have never known ;)
Wish it was a little bigger!

Re: RobertoBagg10's Display Thread *UPDATE* SSC IRON MAN MKVI LSB PICS ARE IN!!! 180/

That case...:clap

It came out really good. Nice display case too :)

Hi Angelica :wave thanks for the kind words my lovely :)

Wow, what's next, are you building an Iron Man suit that you can wear? :lol

:lol :lol that certainly would be the finishing touch :exactly thanks buddy

Congrats Roberto!! Looks very nice :yess:

Now the wait till see the Mark VII 1/1 bust is going to be longer

Thanks Ken, yea...really excited about all the new Iron Man collectible announcements recently...really a great time to be an Iron Man fan :rock fortunately for me I'll be pre ordering the lot so I can't wait! The MK42 1/1 bust certainly has got me excited as I've also PO'd the Iron Patriot bust too :)

Re: RobertoBagg10's Display Thread *UPDATE* SSC IRON MAN MKVI LSB PICS ARE IN!!! 180/

That looks great, do you have any pictures that show the area, less close up??

I can see your infection is escalating, at the beginning of this thread you mostly had 1/4 scale, now your up to these busts, I have a feeling 1:1 scale statues are in your future :)

:lol you are so right David :exactly: even before the beginning of the thread and infact before collecting Sideshow stuff, I had a huge 1/18 car die cast collection of all the classic movie vehicles :lol from there it went to 1/6 figures, then to 1/4 scale PFs, followed by my new craze of 1/2 scale statues and not forgetting my huge collection of 1/1 scale LIFESIZE busts :thud: but in all seriousness, I'm really not interested in LIFESIZE statues...as cool as they are I'm afraid I'd never have the space to display one let alone a collection of them not to mention the cost :horror

That's some awesome new purchases there Andy. I seriously can't wait to get my Batman PF. That's the one character I've always desperately wanted made. I can't believe since the day I preordered Batman so much has happened. I've moved home 3 times, my wife got pregnant, quit my job, got a new job, quit that job got another job AND still I've got a 3 month or so wait :lol

Amazing collection buddy & more still to come :)

Thanks so much Steve for the kind comments :1-1: really looking forward to seeing your Bat PF pics and finally getting your collection back on track! :rock Hope the family are doing well buddy :wave

Great pics my friend, and very great acquisition !

Thanks Darth my friend

I think the whole piece looks amazing, and I'm sorely tempted to order one. But I think maybe it's the mouth that looks a bit off to me? Maybe it's just SSC photography? :dunno I'll wait till you get yours and see your pics, then get one! :lol

:lol :lol nice one Jay :clap I dunno, a lot of guys are mentioning the turning of the head looks weird? :dunno I still can't see it myself...trust me mate, with your photography skills, you could make any piece look great! :exactly:

Hey KD, thanks bro...btw, give it 2 weeks and your gonna love my new purchase!! :wink1: I've searched a lifetime for it and finally it's happened!! As you will know, it's one of the most rarest items to find, not to mention most expensive plus it's been quoted as being one of sideshows best ever sculpts!! Know what it is yet? :wink1: Now I just have to sit on the excitement for another 2 weeks :gah::gah: :lol

Roberto sincerely, your collection and how do you presents seems as if you are Tony Stark, awesomeness goes here, my friendesito :hi5::clap:clap

Re: RobertoBagg10's Display Thread

It is a great shame abt the reactor but I can't help but fall in love with what is a magnificent sculpt and light up feature. Gonna still attempt at fixing it but until then there's no way I'm returning it...Some final pics...

I would like to see pics of your complete collection.

That iron man bust is just amazing. Congrats!

Re: RobertoBagg10's Display Thread

I feel better coming here to see positive comments on Iron Man Mark VI bust. Too many negative comments on its own thread. This thing looks great in my opinion. Might not be perfect but I still like it.

:lol Thanks guys...but you know my current situation right :(...well, most of my collection is currently still stored away inside their shipping boxes and I only have a few pieces that I'm allowed to display (by the wife) until we have purchased our new family home, which we hope will be this year

Anyway, these are the best pics I could find of how my collection currently stands...here is a picture of me putting away the Batman Premium Format Exclusive alongside the rest of my collection :wink1: :yess: :rotfl

When I get home from work I like to spend as much time with my children as I possibly can, once they are tucked up in bed I like to do my daily stock check of which pieces in my collection that I'd consider keepers and which I'd like to sell on. Here is an overhead view of my living room...

:lol :lol In all seriousness guys, once I do find that perfect home and I finally get to set up my display room/home cinema room then you will know that it was worth the wait! :rock

Seriously, looking on a market for a home for ALL your collectibles, seems like you'll need a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom, a big kitchen AND a warehouse in the back! :lol
