Looks good dude. Did you have to heat up the dreads before bending them? Tried to gently bend some of mine but they seem pretty stiff. Feels like they'll snap.

Thanks Nuri no heating at all I've seen a few of the other Preds that got shipped out with the dreads attached and I didn't like the way they flowed so hence why I asked the guys at the AD to send mine detached. Mine bend pretty easily bro...here's a few pic comparisons to show you a few hairstyles I've managed to get out of mine to prove that you can still bend these to your preference without snapping them

I actually think the dreads look a bit better with a slight bend in them in some of the dreads, as it looks a bit more natural. Looks a bit unnatural when they are all dead straight, but you are right, some of the ones they've sent out don't look the best, the way the dreads flowed. Not entirely happy with mine either. Anyway, the guys at The Art Department are actually sending me 2 new heads with dreads unattached, since both my head sculpts arrived with broken/cracked dreads in several places. Joe initially told me to send the headsculpts back to him and he'd fix them and ship back, but at the risk of them breaking again, he decided to make me new heads instead and post them with the dreads separate so I can attach myself, so once they arrive I'll practice shaping the dreads on the dud heads just in case they break, and once I got it right I'll then do the same on the new heads

By the way, the LSB EX now has an ES. You gonna order, or get a regular locally? Shame that the reg has no edition size.

Hey Nuri, how is it going buddy see, I told you the dreads have got a bit of bend in them...just have to be a tad forceful and they'll go the way you want them to I was researching into how the Predators dreads look when I was moulding them into position and I found that all the pics I found on google were basically different so I guess its what you prefer in regards to how you want the dreads to look. If I'm being totally honest, the dreads are actually too long and think compared to the actual movie accurate ones - which is a pain in the arse! But as I've got 3 headsculpts altogether, I've gone with 3 different dread positions to give me that variation. I actually like the straight down look compared to the curly one ...but as you see from this comparison of my 2 biomask headsculpts, I've got both options if i get bored - which i do very easily

That's great news in regards to your replacement heads mate...remember to have patience when gluing in the dreads...it will take some time By the way, i saw your pics on the AD facebook page of your Pred looks fantastic! Really crystal clear pics

In regards to the Sideshow P1 Masked LSB i initially was going to place an order for the EX but still haven't made up my mind...I'd actually like to get the P1 unmasked LSB first but they seem to be like gold-dust and cant find one for sale anywhere if i do order it i'll defo be ordering the EX rather than locally but gonna bide my time as i have to PO the Iron Man MK42 Maquette on Thursday and you know me Nuri, Iron Man always come first

The straight down look is definitely better than how they are styled by default, but I think due to the excessive length of the dreads it looks just a tad strange, so I think having a slight curl in some of them as you have done with your other head looks a bit more natural. Wish I knew a local sculptor, I would've got them to make me new dreads that are shorter in length. Still looks good though.

I've been after the P1 Unmasked LSB for a while as well, and like you I've had a hard time finding it. A fellow boardie was selling a regular locally just before I bought the Art Department statue, but couldn't spend the cash at the time since I just paid for the statue and I really wanted the EX, so I decided to wait and see if an EX popped up for sale. Now he's sold it and I can't seem to find a reg or an EX for sale, lol. I'd settle for a reg now and just grab the EX masked LSB for the name plate, since they're from the same movie, but hard to find either one. Oh well, I'm sure if I keep searching eBay, another will eventually pop up for sale

Ah, forgot about that MK42 Maquette! Just saw the teaser pic, looks pretty cool! Really want to add an Iron Man statue to my collection and that looks great, but I didn't really like Iron Man 3 lol. Not sure if I should wait for the Mk7 statue, or just grab this one. I think I might wait until the full reveal. If the statue blows me away and has a cool switch-out head of RDJ with great likeness, I might bite.

Yea, I'm loving the predator reveal portrait...so menacing and adds to the overall pose don't you think? However, the Biomask is my favourite as I've always loved that look hence why I'm so interested in the new LSB

Thanks for the kind words Tone yea, the pose is what really puts this Pred ahead of the others poses that we've seen so far compared to other Pred statues out there - and I'm no way saying that this is a better overall statue than the others... far from it the cinemaquette still probably wins hands down as the best overall P1 Pred statue in my opinion...but I really prefer the pose on this custom one plus its at a fairly good scale so you can display alongside the Dutch PF which is also an added bonus if you have that piece already in your collection

So a quick update guys on my G1 Megatron half scale custom statue....well I received him last Thursday and YES! I managed to get him in without the wife seeing although, once she sees him all set up I think she's not going to exactly miss him as you'll see from the pic below

So once I had unpacked and unravelled all the pieces, I noticed that mine had incurred some minor damage but nothing too excessive, just a few paint chips here and there so unfortunately I will have to get those parts repainted thus delaying my final display pics however, I still have a few pics for you and one in particular which will give you an idea of the overall size of this beast! Now I was expecting big but nothing could describe my eyes when I saw how big Megatron was in hand!!!

Here is a pic of not mine but a fellow friend and Transformers G1 collector in the States who had received his G1 Megatron on the same day as me...

As you can see, he's absolutely HUGE!!! and is without doubt the biggest piece in my collection...I certainly hope to have some pics of mine on display very soon so until then here is a quick pic of my animated version with Megatrons eyes all lit up!!!

WOW! I'm not actually sure how tall the Prime 1 Megatron is but this G1 version is just outrageously big! When the wife sees him all set up she's sure to file for a divorce and take the kids!! only kidding...but she wont be best pleased as she thought my LSF's were big this Megatron kicks those out of the park in terms of size!!!

Yea, it came in one box and luckily I went to pick it up myself from the local depo rather than risk them delivering it and my wife going into meltdown at the doorstep!! So once I got the box back to work, I thought it best to unpack it before I got home so that I could dispose of the giant box!!! All that was left in the car was all the Megatron pieces still wrapped in their packaging

Wow! Megatron is massive. Sorry to hear about the damage, but it sounds like you will have it fixed soon. Congrats doesn't seem adequate for a statue this size. Again, wow!
