One of my favourite Punisher statues Andy, looks great in those pics and love the custom handgun too looks as though it was meant to have that gun in the first place

I thought I had seen some of your photos posted by him on SSF. He gets very angry if anybody says anything against XM, and I'm wondering why it's affecting him so much. I think he's crossed over from fan to fanatic!! But if it was you, I'd not keep up my line of questioning

Yea, Kris is a very passionate collector. We both share a passion for G1 Transformers which is how we kinda got to know each other. It's certainly not the first time i've heard the same thing Not sure why he's posting my pics though? Any idea which pics they were for? If it was to do with XM then i only have Magneto, Thanos and Black Bolt so i assume it was a pic from one of those?

Pretty certain it was black bolt. he may or may not have said the pics weren't his. I cannot recall. But then i saw them posted on here by you. so I gots confuzed Anyhoo, I just find it odd when someone that is not remotely associated with a company nor with the design, build, and paint up of a statue, takes things so personally. Or maybe it's me? maybe I am not passionate enough about anything...HA!

And my two cents.... this will be the top punisher statue. I love this piece so much.

Here is one of the best comic representations of the Punisher that i've seen so far...its the Olivetti inspired 1/5 Scale Punisher Comiquette by Sideshow Collectibles. Whilst some might say the scale is what's preventing this piece from becoming a grail, i still feel that despite the size being smaller than most PF's, you can't take away the level of details that has gone into this sculpt...from his classic black attire down to all the weapons attached to his belt and the awesome expression on the portrait.

With that said, if there was only a small criticism i had with the statue, it would be the same issue that i had with the OG Captain America PF in that it comes with a weird looking right hand pose?!! Almost like the hand was designed to be holding a gun or a grenade but instead has been left empty and just sticks out for me So with that in mind, i managed to customise a handgun that fits perfectly in the hand and now looks proper badass!

Will this Punisher remain in the number 1 slot despite XM's imminent release of their 1/4 Scale Punisher on Motorcycle Statue? Only time will tell but for now, this piece will undoubtedly be the collectors favourite!

i totally get you Dave...whilst Kris is a fellow collector friend of mine, i know he can sometimes become a little extreme (to put it mildly) about XM products and doesnt like to hear a bad word said about them. Ive also noticed that there are collectors who react in a similar manner regarding Prime 1 now aswell...

Personally, i cant explain nor understand why collectors get so defensive or heated over statues...i mean, i love my statues dont get me wrong but c'mon, to seriously argue over a piece of polystone?!?! Firstly our hobby is totally subjective anyway so what one collector likes then the other might not...its the world we live in and what makes our collections so unique. Man, what a boring world we'd all live in if we thought exactly the same about each and every statue! I think people need to chill big time and understand that statue collectors have never had it so good with so many new companys releasing incredible statues and that we (as individuals) should all collect what WE truly love and not be influenced by what the guy next to you is buying or saying. There is no right or wrong, only opinions and its a shame that some people can't accept that

Thanks again Dave Yea, it's a shame there aren't that many more 1/4 Scale Silver Surfers about Definately would like to see it re-visited at some point by Sideshow or even Prime 1 now that they have the 1/4 scale Marvel license

Hey buddy and thanks for your question! The diorama for my 1/6 Scale Hot Toys Keaton Figure was made totally from Styrofoam! The most important part of the project, other that sculpting the shapes of the rock, was to remember to add wall tile adhesive to the entire structure. This then gives it the tough hard cover and makes it much easier to paint over. If you need any further help then just let me know buddy. Infact, i'm currently building a similar structure for my Millenium Falcon diorama
