There are at least 4 Robocop suits in this film. One of the suits color-shifts from an "officer's blues" color scheme to the black tactical mode you see in the leaked photos.

I wish they kept the old suit it was fine and ahead of it's time. I'm o.k with reboot but like said wish old suit was the same and just gave us a new cgi mixed with original story..The new suit reminding me of judge dredd remake ...anyway looks like the reason hot toys is redoing ROBOCOP 1st version rerelease soon 2nd version next year i bet some time....

I'm actually ok with the new suit. We're just seeing a production still. Once the movie goes into post production the suit will probably look great.

Think about the ironman suits. They look pretty cheap in stills at times.

Does it compare the classic. It doesn't seem to, but I for one think that's a good thing. I'll reserve judgement until I see it on screen.

It's a new movie, and it's 2012, not 1987. Let them do something different. It might look like a guy in some armor suit, but thats probably the point. It's the advanced technology. I'm sure the idea of him being all wired up and mostly cybernetic is still there.

Exactly. I look at it as if they ever mess up a reboot, at least you can always go back and watch the originals without those designs being tainted. But all these reboots always start with people hating the initial designs and I've never seen that aspect of the movie make or break the reboot. A good movie is a good movie and a bad one is a bad one. It does seem funny that is always the same cut & paste complaining every year for whichever movie is coming out next. Replace the word Robocop with Optimus Prime, Joker, Captain America, Spider-Man, etc and it's really the same arguments every year

Everybody in this thread will see this Movie anyway.

For a guy who's supposed to be robotic, he sure doesn't look the part. The movie's not called ArmorCop, it's called RoboCop.

Not so much of an issue that is different from the original suit, I'm all for that. But what I am disappointed so far is that this suit is not original. Looks very generic and nothing visually is making it stand out or iconic in it's own way. The original, for me, has presence, this does not. And IF they stick with an all black color scheme, I feel it will loose a sort of a heroic look to it. I see that picture and I think it's part of an evil futuristic army.

Movie might very well be good, just disappointed with the design. Looks like the copied what have been popular lately and mashed it all together. I see nothing original or different so far. I guess time will tell.

Apparently they are filming this movie in Toronto Canada, gravy!..so, if i ever see them filming near me i might just be tempted to ghost ride my car on to the set. XD

Not 100% sure but, i think Prime Directives was filmed here as well.
