This guys other movies have been pretty awesome. I will wait to judge until I see the movie.

Yep me too that is the main reasons i'm still interested by this.
His ELITE SQUAD movies are ****ing awesome, great action scenes, great characters and scipts.
Design wise i just hate evrything i've seen, they should have gone bostons dynamic BIGDOG mech.

I did a search in this thread for "ED-208" and nothing came up.

WHY WHY WHY did they completely change the look of Robo? WHY? I can understand not wanting to use the exact same suit as the original, but this thing..........

My god, Harry Knowles was dealt the ultimate bad hand - disabled, obese, ugly AND ginger.

A friend of mine claims he's seen a preview of the new RoboCop, in his words "its total utter s****, it urinates all over the very soul of Verhoen's masterpiece". Some of his biggest complaints like everyone who's seen it were about the suit, too streamlined and too black. But worse of all they've combined to many characters, the old man and Richard Jones are combined into a single character, Bob Morton and Dr. Marie Lazarus (RoboCop 2 & 3) are combined into Dr. Norton. The satirical news reporter's are replaced with SLJ's Rupert Murdoch inspired media head.

The one and only plus was ED209, which had evolved into a more serious automaton rather than the comic relief. But it still had the menace of the original.

Did you mean RoboCop 1, 2 & 3?

Bob died in the first one.
