Helmet could use a bit of a redesign, but the actual mouth area of the face looks very much like Peter Weller.

And it's the original RoboCop, without the blue hues of the sequel, which rocks!

I don't see how you can confuse this with a statue, though, as it's pretty obvious his arms will be poseable -- perhaps both at the shoulder and at the elbow, which would also rock.

And his right hip looks suspiciously openable, judging by the QVTR...

That's my guess from the QVTR also. Swivels at the waist, arms, elbows and head...WITH removable helmet top...which is why I think the helmet looks a little 'off' from the head-on view. It's got all the detailed plates and wires and such underneath!

Seriously, it might have all that. And that would ROCK.

Alternatively, the exclusive version might be the helmetless one.

I find his posture a bit weird -- his shoulders were always pushed back a bit more, in that very distinctive stance. It's like he's standing too rigidly straight.

But no other problems with it. The OCP base is gorgeous, too.

...Just noticed from SDCC...OPENING THIGH HOLSTER!!! :D

i gotta tell you, i was actually pretty unimpressed with him. Face was totally off. I was asking one of the sideshow reps and he said that a lot of it has to do with licensing. a way better buy on this looked like the NECA 18" figure for 40 bucks. :( wasn't too crazy about the pose either. gonna take a better look at it today though. hopefully my mind will change.

The likeness issue is a pretty weak excuse IMO. Yeah, it severely hinders a removable helmet, but Hot Toys pulled off their 1/6 sculpt as did McFarlane and NECA. No, none of them were perfect, but they were a LOT beter than this sculpt.

I've had a night to sleep on it and I must admitt I feel less excited about a Robo PF.

I think this will be a pass for me.

saw it again today and was quite dissapointed. even one of the sideshow staff was talking about how dissapointed he was with it. total missed opportunity in my opinion. :(
