Apart from the Vader shot, worst SW trailer and poster of all time.
I actually much preferred the darker time of the previous two, and the acting looks very wobbly.
All the lines seem to be delivered as punchlines.

This movie looks so good. I wonder how they'll explain Jyn Erso's dad being crucial to the creation of the Death Star when in Attack of the Clones the Seperatists had the blueprints for it already. Or if they explain it at all

This movie looks so good. I wonder how they'll explain Jyn Erso's dad being crucial to the creation of the Death Star when in Attack of the Clones the Seperatists had the blueprints for it already. Or if they explain it at all

I liked *some* of that 2nd trailer.

Some.

A lot of it just looks like new millennium fluff mixed with some nostalgia feels.

Still gonna be there opening week.

I have to agree with this. The last trailer gave me a sense this movie would have a grand scale, despite the self contained story line. Now it looks like an extended version of the battles in TFA. This went from a must see in theater to a rental for me.

Rental?! A new SW movie! The first standalone SW movie!

Even Rory will go see it in Imax 3D opening night.

Trailer looks great! Def has me more pumped than the first trailer. Really feeling Jyn's character now, thinking of picking up her PF now too lol.

Mads Mikkelsen's character being Jyn's father and important figure in building the Death Star is really cool as well.

It just seems there's going to be a good cast of characters with good motivations. Feels like we'll have some more emotional tones other SW films didn't have or just lightly brushed on.

Whatever the case, I was always going to go see this, but I'm more excited than ever now for Rogue One!!!

In the upcoming canon tie-in book to ROGUE ONE - Catalyst, its revealed that Krennic rescued Galen Erso and his family during the Separatist War. So Erso began working for Palpatine's secret army right before AOTC (which is 22 years before ROGUE ONE). That's why you see Jyn as a little girl.
