off screen, yes? :woo

Re: Rogue one: Spoilers confirmed! You are warned do no read these are real

Leia is seen on screen. They said Vader's cameo is well worth the price of admission and the last five minutes are the best which lead right into Star Wars: A New Hope.

Is Aikido the one you redirect your opponent's momentum against him? That one is awesome and looks awesome.

You do that in a Muay Thai clinch too. One training exercise was to close your eyes so you could sense your opponent's weight shifting and respond more instinctively.

Picture a gym full of dudes with their eyes closed, arms around each other. :rotfl

I didn't get the reason, but there is a reason Vader wears his costume differently in ANH and they show why in this movie.

Hot Toys did a number on us by not providing a lit lightsaber with the Vader Rogue One figure, just the hilt. Neat sneak job. LOL

I think he's a fake, but I Aikido isn't, I believe any martial art is effective in hands trained enough.

Ever heard the story of Seagal chickening out when he picked a fight with Chuck Norris?

No, I'm not familiar with that story. I don't think he's a fake, but who knows? I've heard that Akido isn't great for competitive fighting, but it might work against untrained fighters and regular people in real life situations, but not against a trained fighter. I think Bas Rutten said that.

Does it come across as minorities and women against a white supremacist empire? I think I know you'll say no but your answer will help anyway :lol

I did not ask that specific question. Maybe so. They would not say it was better then OT or TFA just different but awesome in its own right. I think from the trailer and what we have heard, that its war movie of minorities v. White men. LOL

Hard to say. One of my instructors had a low opinion of many traditional martial arts in terms of competition, the reason being...he said they relied on misdirection and surprise. But a Muay Thai fighter, boxer or similar is conditioned for multiple, punishing rounds in which surprise is shortly lost and misdirection only works for a limited time.

I believe that's what Bruce Lee was getting at, as well.

Ok, the reviews are hitting the net and seems to be very positive as my friends reported.

Right? :lol that's one of the reasons I didn't like wrestling training :lol you had to grapple with a sweaty dude.

A friend once trained me in Tai Chi that way, not the sweaty shirt-less way :lol just feeling each other's weight and momentum, I remember I did not want to mess with him, he lived in a tough neighborhood, crawling with cholos and he would fade people on weekly basis, I didn't believe him until one day he came to school with a deep machete cut on his leg :lol and then I saw him fight with my own eyes.

I've heard that too, but I believe all those styles people say only work in movies, like Tai Chi, Aikido, pressure points and such, I think they do work, only I think the people who attain such level of skill and enlightenment if you will, aren't interested in money and tournaments.

Cool, thanks!

Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (12/16/16)

Everyone here forgot Chuck Norris. If the Rebels had him on their side, he could crush the Death Star by simply staring at it

Yeah, the 3 basic moves of Teras Kasi

1. shouting "Not the face!"

2. fetal position

3. calling 911

4. killing innocent "younglings" or whatever they called those Jedi wannabe kids
