I have defibrillated people out of clinical death.

It was literally split down the middle.

Half said they saw lights or were with people but didn't remember going out.

The other half said there was just nothing and they also didn't remember going out.

it's the chemical in your brain that's released when your body thinks it's dying to ease you into death. it's called DMT, very triply substance if smoked as well. (who doesn't wanna see "the bright light"?) some people will see lights or other beings, while others who weren't as close to dying don't get those visuals because their mind knew they weren't going to need it. DMT is a substance that's found in everything, from trees to birds it's the little molecule that literally ties every living thing together. when i tried DMT everything was very blissful and blue, with insane patterns and mental sparks unlike any other psychedelic i've tried.

Great read, thanks for that.

If there is an afterlife my core want is to be with my wife, son and sideshow freaks forum lol.

Since time will no longer matter / exist, I wonder if when you wake up that your loved ones are right next to you as they were when you died.

Who's to say that when you wake up that your loved ones lives haven't already finished their course and they also died and everyone just wakes up together with everyone experiencing each other at the ages they desire.

Because I don't know if I want to witness them living their lives and also suffering.

If i'm not going to be with my wife and son then just forget it all lol.

Then again not of that **** exists because do you really think i'll be sitting there with my son playing Xbox in the afterlife lol.

I'd like to believe that death is a "level up", and as soon as you leave this place, the unseen part that's your soul goes to another dimension or something. But the most logical thing is that you die, and you essentially become one with the universe, which according to deism is what we call God, so that's one way to look at it. Either way, the info we humans have is rather minimal, so I don't really think it's worth losing any sleep over it. For all we know, we could also be a simulation. If you look at it from a certain angle, it certainly makes sense as a theory.

Well that's my worse fear, waking up and i'm really Mccaulay Culkin in bed with Michael Jackson.

Saw the movie, loved it. The kid in me wanted to see Vader try to stop the blockade runner by raising his arm out, turn/clench his fist and destroy 2 or 3 of the ships engines b/f it goes into hyperspace.....:monkey3

He's not Magneto.

And who would rescue Vader when he's being dragged behind the Tantive and sucked into hyperspace?

Picked up the novelization. No mention of Chirrut and Baze being a couple. Phew. It's specifically called out that they see each other as brothers.

In fact they were both the last of the Guardians of the Whills but Baze lost his faith after the Imperial occupation and forsook the Force and turned to heavy weapons instead. Chirrut never waivered and was the last true practitioner of the Guardian way. When Baze watched Chirrut step out in faith and sacrifice himself to save the day he was overcome with guilt and made sure that the Guardian mantra didn't die with Chirrut, even if he kept it going for only a few more moments until his own death.

A very poignant arc for those two characters and it would have been cool if even a couple more lines of dialogue could have been given to their backstory on screen. A minor nitpick that I'm glad gets fleshed out in the novel.

Yup, they needed an extra scene of character building.

One of the things I loved about Rogue One was the complete absence of sexual love, whilst giving great examples of platonic love. One of the greatest moments in SW for me now is that moment with Andor and Jyn on the beach before they die. There were no exclamations of love. No sloppy wet kisses. Just hands held between two people who were fellow travelers on the road to the grave. It was beautiful.

For everyone.

Would have loved a quick sequence of Jyn being a bandit/criminal (for survival reasons) and then ending in prison instead of that opening shot of Felicity already being in prison and we don't even know why.

Cassian had the only satisfying establishing scene for me. Made him dangerous and questionable immediately. If he wasn't such a dour/serious character most of the time I would have really loved his character.

True pixle, but you just know that Cassian was thinking this:

"Nuke blast is coming I should just bend this ***** over right now and do what must be done."

Harry Potter fans.

I should have known.

Did you know that Harry's original name was Harry Pooter. But the author felt that was too on the nose. Interesting fact.

I agree. You don't always need a love affair to express a deep connection.

Agreed, and I loved Admiral Raddus' respectful acknowledgement of their sacrifice from far above.
