So how are your children reaction to ROGUE ONE? Do they watch it at home? Are they fans or is this movie catered to teens and up? My 10 & 8 year old are not fans. They loved Pirates 5 more.

After watching RO in the theater opening weekend my 10 year old daughter liked RO the least of all SW films. She had a hard time keeping track of where everyone stood in the story (Galen and Bodhi being "good" Imperials and Cassian and Saw being Rebels of questionable morality) and also on account of the final act being so intense that it gave her a literal stomach ache. She begrudgingly went with my son and I again and it totally clicked the second time. It literally went from worst to best for her.

My 7 year old son loved it from the get go because he's a total fanboy for all Imperial vehicles. TIE Fighters, AT-AT's, you name it. He was in hog heaven.

On a side note I finally decided it was time to introduce Indiana Jones into my kids' lives and we watched Raiders in our home theater last weekend. They were MESMERIZED. And gosh damn Raiders is a freaking masterpiece. I probably only watch it every 4-5 years but I'm just caught up all over again when I do. My son was pretty freaked out when all the skeletons kept coming at Marion in the Well of Souls but otherwise they were fine. I did not warn them about the melting faces so it was fun watching their open mouthed reactions to that. :D

They absolutely begged to watch more Indy when Raiders was done and my kids are pretty much *never* up for double features. It was close to midnight so I said no but then we watched TOD the next day. Oh my gosh that was freaking hilarious. They were simultaneously amused and grossed out by the dinner scene (as we all were back in the day) and watched the heart ripping scene through their fingers. My son got a little freaked out when Indy was in the temple by himself and started to investigate the screams in the distance so he got up from the couch and headed to my recliner to sit with me RIGHT as the one thuggee's face rose into frame in front of Willie and Short Round. He was like a foot from the screen when it happened and just stood there screaming like Macauley Culkin in Home Alone. I was *dying*. :rotfl

My daughter's review of TOD was pretty much the same as her initial thoughts on RO. She thought it was good but didn't like how uncomfortable she felt during all the intense action.
