I like those comic book scenes wish they were in the movie.

As it stands now in the movie they present Jyn as never having been to Yavin.

Damn now I almost want a movie about Saw!

Epic. :lol

One thing that I did kind of hand wave away was the cavalier attitude that the Rebels seemed to have about a hardened criminal like Jyn being brought to their super secret base. What if she cut and ran? Or got captured again? It almost seemed like they should have had that entire briefing with her at some other less sensitive place. But if she'd been there before and never ratted them out it makes more sense, as does her and Bail sharing that moment of recognition with one another.

As of now I accept those scenes from the comic into the "Khev canon."

Yes and based on how the movie opened you can pretty easily assume that Cassian's full orders might have originally been to kill Galen and then Galen's daughter to tie up all loose ends. I'm fine with either interpretation but am leaning toward her being there before in order to make Bail's appearance less of a PT reference and more of an indicator that she knew him. Anything to help my status as a prequel denier. :D

I just read Jyn's arrival on Yavin in the novelization. There they make it clear that she's never been there before. At first she thought she was being apprehended by Saw but then realized it couldn't be him because she knew he'd never let a prisoner see everything like they did. Melshi (the guy she hits with a shovel after he unlocks her handcuffs) is walking beside her and as they are walking across the tarmac she entertains the idea of tripping him when he steps on a wet spot (like Wor-Gar's favorite moment with the Stormtrooper on Eadu) and then smashing Melshi's face into the rocks, taking his gun and using him as a human shield. But then she figures her only hope would be to immediately flee into the jungle where she could easily die after a few days by ingesting a poisonous plant. Therefore she decides *not* to murder any of her captors and heads inside to hear what they have to say. Bad. Ass. :lol

At the end of the interrogation Bail actually doesn't show up in the novel. So a little bit of differing backstories depending on what you read.

But which backstory is official Khev cannon hmm?

Watched this on DVD for the first time tonight (third viewing now in total) and I like it even more every time I see it!

That action looks totally awkward in the film. I've been able to rewind and watch it a number of times and I still can't quite understanding the physics of how it happens.

I know she somehow makes him slip back off the ledge and somehow snatches his gun in the process -- but its so quick, and she makes such little effort -- it just doesn't read.

:lol I'm going with a combination of the two. I think the movie probably plays better if it's Jyn's first time on Yavin but I also like the idea of her having met Bail earlier in her life. The comic doesn't specifically call out the base location in her flashback so I suppose the meeting room where she watches Saw and Bail argue could have been another remote outpost and not Yavin per se.

We really need a spin-off movie to help explain these discrepancies between the comic book and the movie Rogue one. And to help cover the time that was not included in the comic or the film.

Shooting them brings me even more joy than snuggling up with Jyn. :lol

kara looks like he's getting more than he bargained for while DiFabio is clearly enjoying the ride.

Fyi, the Disney store has a 50% off selected merch sale today. The Rogue One diecast figures are $10 on clearance, and are eligible. So, you can get them for $5 each.

They also have some Force Awakens ones.
