Such a great figure. There are few problems but as a whole, this is going to dominate almost any shelf.

I think updating those maroon straps would make a world of difference. Anyone have suggestions on where such a thing could be obtained?

Robbie's pics are really great.

Thanks guys. This really is a stand out figure. Couple of notes abut the figure.
First is like many have mentioned , the hands. Its pretty obvious that they had problems coming out of the factory. There is some kind of adhesive they put on the pegs to get them to stick better. They included four pegs but none will stay in, even under their own weight without hands attached.
Next would be the head. It sort of attaches to the neck plug but it basically rattles around. Appears the inner ring is too low so it doesn't fit on tight.
The armor connectors don't hold the armor. The sculpt of them is really well done, but the peg that holds them on is a tapering cylinder so friction is the only thing and its not enough. I tried a few and then said piss on it and glued mine on. Problem solved for me.
Those are the main down points. Other then that this thing is so amazing looking. The armor looks great and fits well once the connectors are sorted out. Amazing details and the swords! The swords are really a class act. Love the whole figure. Such a great piece.

Ill probably end up gluing a lot of mine too. I've been debating on just getting an extra True Type body for this and say piss on this body. What would be a good alternative TT body for this? Regular? Narrow?

I haven't got mine yet so I can't check for myself. The armor pegs people are talking about. Anyone ever put together the tracks on a 1/35scale model tank? On one end of the track they usually have 2 pegs side by side. On the other side 2 holes that the pegs go in. Once you insert the pegs in the holes you use a heat source to round over the peg which makes it bigger than the hole and difficult to remove. I wonder if that is the way the pegs are designed on the armor or if it would work much the same way?

Not sure on the body. It was good enough for me so I'm not going to swap it.

I had thought about the melting plugs and it may work but I figure glue was easier and faster. Also at least two wouldn't work because you won't be able to get to them once you button it up.

Just got it - obviously velcro isn't going to do the trick, have to glue those things on I think. Have to wait 'til tomorrow to put this together, but it definitely looks good.

Yeah. Velcro would probably add too much bulk. Just a dab of glue on the shoulder connectors of the armor and perhaps a small dab under each tab. Post pics once you get it together.

Just checked out an ebay auction from 7toys7 - it's at $300 + shipping with 3 days to go :horror

Saw that one. There's another one currently at $296.00 with 1 and 1/2 days to go. And a third one for buy it now at $600.00 or best offer. :cuckoo:

Guess I'll be giving up trying to track one down. Too much greed in this world. :(

The boots kept bothering me a bit with the leg armor on my display, so I futzed with some more and was able to get the leg armor over the boots better. I think it helped a good deal.

Also, just got in a photo box to help me take a bit better pictures of my figures, because I am not a good photographer at all and need all the help I can get. Here are my first photos using it.

Damn, I really can't wait to get this figure!
Thanks for all the pics.

So nobody has the General and some common legionnaires to command?

I was curious about how Robbie would fix the straps. . .if he feels glue is the best solution, then I reckon I should go the same route. I might do hot glue instead of superglue in case I ever want to take him apart and put him in the box, though. I also want to get the head to fit tighter on that neck plug somehow.

One thing's for sure, the neck looks way too long.
I'm sure the first thing I'll do once I get mine is to take it apart and see what fixes the figure needs.
