this is a top looking Figure

I just saw 1 sell on Evil Bay for just over $300.oo

I think I am gonna have to procure 1 , and set up a Display with some of his other Materials that I have , mainly Gladiator stuff, but never the less, I think its worthy of a Purchase ..

does any one know where I may pick one up ? apart from Evil Bay ?

They are all sold out maybe in April a few people will cancel pre-orders but who knows how much they will sell for. If you find one for less then 300 you may want to jump on it before its too late and prices go even higher. Some US seller were selling it for 250 plus (last pre-order I found) anyway as a pre-order so I doubt it will be had for retail price again.

Personally I would wait until the US shipment hits in April before outlaying $300+ for one. Keep an eye on the OSW board too, there are a couple of store owners there who often announce that they have x number of figures that are often hard to come by on ebay or casual browsing.

I have to say this is an amazing figure. I got mine and love it. While I shouldn't have to fix hand pegs finding some shouldn't be a problem. I put mine together and I am just amazed how much I love this figure. Maximus was a figure I wanted to make on my own but with this I don't have to. Here are my thoughts.
The head sculptures is great when I look at it I see Maximus. The armor was done good. Mine Sat up a little high on the shoulders. I ended up cutting a little bit to make it fit a little closer to the body. The shoulder armor seemed to twist back a little making the points on the back almost come together. Watching the movie for reference you don't see the shoulder straps. The shoulder armor goes right up to the neck opening. So I used double sided tape to hold the armor together and the shoulder armor in the right place. I ended up flying the chest armor together. I don't see myself changing anything on this figure it was five that good. My head was loose but that was easily fixes by glue it to the post. I really am amazed at the detail that went into this figure. The armor and helmet is awesome. The body was good for me. The clothes were done well. Once put together this figure stands up to any out there. I don't complain about little things because I usually do something to fix any figure to make it right. Anyone who gets this figure will enjoy it. I actually enjoyed putting this figure together. My only problem is I love how this figure looks with and without helmet and cape I don't know how I want him displayed. It is a pretty good problem to have. I can post pics later.

Oh yah the plastic/leather holding the shoulder armor together is a little stiff so the last 2 plates didn't fall to my satisfaction so I cut them and used reviled material so they were loose and fell naturally. This was a nit picky thing though.

Yes I did but I would prefer the range of motion given by the shoe unless they did a really good leather boot.

I haven't checked completed auctions, but this figure is asking crazy money on ebay.

On the one hand it brings back some of the excitement of collecting truly LE sets... but on the other I feel for those who missed out at MSRP. They sold out quick - if you are only a casual collector who doesn't regularly check on where the hobby's at, it's gone before you even knew it existed.

So glad I was able to pick one of these up. For all its flaws, it's one of the most impressive figures on my shelf.

Yeah, I pre-ordered through cotswald collectibles and the wait is driving me crazy. Checked ACI Toys FB awhile ago to see if there was any new news, one guy said his LCS said late May now. Christ almighty....

ACI responded to my post. Said they are shipping from China in 1-2 weeks then however long till our retailers get them from there.
