I really wish there was going to be more episodes.

not insulted at all. it's like the guy trying to be funny at work that isn't funny and he blames it on the fact "no one is smart enough to get my jokes" reasoning. the british humor is just different that the American one....it has nothing to do with "dumbed down" or not. you can "get" a joke and it still not be funny to you. to each their own, it's good to have different flavors.

And the UK Office bored me silly - I hated Gervais' character and it was just uncomfortable to watch. Carrell is hilarious - the US Office has really opened it up and is much funnier.

This was totally Ricky Gervais' decision. He only wanted to do two seasons. I think I heard that he is going to do one final episode to wrap everything up like he did with The Office.

I found the UK version to be OK but the US Office is really the better show to me. I actually prefer many British comedies over US ones (Spaced, Father Ted, Extras and such) but in this case the US Office is just so much better than the UK one. Carrell isn't my favorite character though I actually find him to be the least funny of most of the ensemble cast (he has his moments at times though). The relationship between Dwight and Jim or Dwight and Angela, crazy Kelly, stuck-up Ryan and on and on. It's the ensemble that makes the show worth tuning in each week.

I think pretzle day is coming up again.

What?? No more Extras?? I guess I'm not too surprised. The first season was really more like a miniseries and season two more like a sequel miniseries. Still, I was hoping Gervais would do a season of Extras where When the Whistle Blows is imported to America. Oh well...
