See, I don't like "Curb Your Enthusiasm" for the same reason I don't like the UK Office - none of the characters are remotely likeable. I get the "love'em because they're flawed" thing, but it just doesn't work for me.

The UK Office was designed as a limited series. They never even considered having to sustain those characters for 7 seasons, so they could all be hateful. But US television is just different.

Extras was cool though - it was fun seeing stars acting like you'd think they'd act in real life, but way over the top.

I guess I just like unlikable people. They are more fun to me. The more awkward the better. I am glad they make all types of TV shows though. Variety is good.

On the same note, I love to despise characters. It keeps me interested in the show. Once there is no more conflict I get bored. This mainly goes for action/drama shows.

Look at Seinfeld (co-created by Larry David). None of the characters are really likable, yet it's one of the best comedies ever.

Don't ever watch "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" Dave, you won't like it much.
