I actually have to say I like the screaming head much more
Overall a great figure, had to fix some loose joints with clear paint and blu tack. Looks great with the cane and the pistol is awesome, the cost is sculpted and painted amazingly.

Nice to compare to the SHF, which do you like better?

Hate to double post but here's my repaints on the heads. Made them less stark white , darkened lips, removed the purple under eye stuff and made it more accurate, etc. still have to do gloss, matte, etc to them. Never done work on a head before

I love the vibrancy of the Mafex version - I wish they had gone with the batman tights and purple coat combo. I'm really looking forward to the gold jacket version, and I'll have to pick the purple jacket version up to use the straitjacket on him.

Your pics are awesome, paintpot.

Thanks! I've actually tried to do the tights look but I'm not too sure how to attach them to the body in a modular way. I'm also working on bare arms for him

I don't know if there's a "best place" since the prices are pretty uniform everywhere but I'd probably recommend Amazon. The MSRP from Bluefin is $59.99 and Amazon currently has it for $57.37, which is probably the best you can do unless you chance getting it for a little less a few months down the road (and that's if it stays in stock that long).

Thanks for the reply.
You know, this whole time, I thought these figures were about $40 each. I had finally talked myself into justifying spending that much on a single figure only to discover their about $60!
Well, as nice as Harley looks, no way can I ever justify spending $60! Oh well. I guess I'll just enjoy pictures on here.

They are quite expensive considering the size, and when you couple that with issues like minor bleeding paint, fragile wrist pegs etc. it becomes difficult to justify unless you're already a Figuarts collector.

You can find good deals for around the $40 mark on eBay, but then you have to navigate bootlegs (no bootlegs currently exist of the DC figuarts), shipping costs from china/Japan and then import/customs charges that drive the price up.

They are brilliant figures, but I can totally understand your trepidation towards the higher costs.

I've been locked in as a Dragon Ball figuarts collector for about 5 years, and having previously sold off that collection and then rebuilt it, the cost of being a figuarts collector in the U.K is ridiculous at times!

Great pictures!!

Quick Question, are you able to pop off the Body Kun arms and put them on this mafex Joker?

Thanks in advance man!

I actually tried that, and the arms stick out way too far from the body, because the balls sit much further into the torso of body kun. I'll snap a pic for you once I get home.

The arms scale fine though and I'm working on shortening the pegs, if you get any ideas on how to solve this issue I'd love some help!

Nice! Yeah I remember you mentioning you were going to try it. I might have some ideas once I see some pics!

Here you go man. When the arms plugged in it's basically that but just with the ball not exposed. Ball sockets are very shallow on this fig.

Perfect! Now I see what you mean. And I do have a recommendation...

Use either a tooth pick or cut q-tip to shove inside the torso socket to measure how far it goes in. Mark that measurement and use it as a guide to see how much to cut off the Body Kun arm peg.

Then use some Apoxie sculpt to form a small ball joint onto the cut peg. I'd highly recommend Apoxie sculpt as it holds up well once it hardens and cures. In my experience even more so than other clay mediums especially if your going to use it as a ball peg. Make sure to make the ball peg a lot smaller than what you'll think you need. Definitely use the Mafex arm peg/ball as a guide for size. Another reason to make the Apoxie ball/peg smaller than the Mafex ball/peg is that you'll have to add super glue all around the peg/ball to permanently affix it to the cut Body Kun arm peg.

If it ends up being too small, you can always add a little more super glue. (and obviously wait for the superglue to harden/cure before fitting the peg into the torso). The whole idea is that if it's too small you can always add super glue till it fits snug (As opposed to the ball being too big; it's a ***** to sand down, etc.) As a recommendation for super glue, I'd use Loctite brush on super glue as the brush makes it easier to apply evenly onto the Apoxie ball/peg

Hope this makes sense and helps bro! I've pretty much used this method to fit a couple Mafex heads onto figurarts bodies. Also, I used to swap heads between my older 3.75 Star Wars figures and sometimes the pegs are too small. And this is the same method I've used to add to the peg for a more snug fit.

My Mafex Joker is in my Pile of Loot at the moment with BBTS. Just waiting on a few things before I have it shipped. Can't wait though! Thanks for the pictures!

Thanks a bunch, very detailed and helpful! And no worries on the pics.

Just wish I knew this before I did this to the body kun arm...The plan was just to drill it, trim the peg, and then reglue with apoxie...

Ah! Don't know if the Apoxie will hold it together. You could always try. If it just ends up breaking, definitely try to use some sort of shock absorbent glue. Gorilla Glue would be perfect in my opinion.

I'm attempting to use model glue right this second, doubtful it'll work but why not try.

You know those mafex Batman bootlegs? Well, there's suicide squad joker ones now. There's a listing on aliexpress for "pre-sale" for one. Maybe it's best to just buy one of these and doctor shirtless custom

Not shf but still import suicide squad:
Not too sure how I like this...Looks a bit odd from certain angles, shoulder hinge has been disabled so all motion comes from the ball, and the connection from the peg I cut is pretty weak.
