Did tamashii really have to waste box space on a swappable normal head that most of us have already? Collectors shop figures dont come with much as is, thats wasted space imo. We could have at least got the blue hair in yellow to swap out ssj Goku with a new sculpt [emoji14]

I also want to know who at toei despises Goku smirking so much, I bet tamashii showed one to them and they were like "nope, its goku, he doesnt smirk" when he does it in the film!

That's why I'm wondering if they're doing that just for the collector to have a view of what it would look like with the normal head or if they're actually including it. After hearing that Super Saiyan Vegeta with Scouter Vegeta's head was just a "fun head swap" at a convention, I'm not expecting Goku's normal head to be included. It would have been really nice to have that hair sculpt in yellow.

The picture that I re-posted appears to have a smirk face though.

Edited: Are these official Tamashii photos? If so, I'm surprised they put a normal Goku head on the figure in them. Unless they're including it, I feel that may be slightly misleading.

Apparently the images and text that are already everywhere come from this Japanese website, although I have no doubt that within hours we see them on the website of Tamashii.

According to that text the figure includes the normal head of Goku.

Oh okay, cool. I guess it's a nice good will gesture. Also, it's kind of a close "re-release" if you consider Ultimate Gohan having the same body as Normal Goku.

Yeah! It's faint but it's definitely there! We can see it a lot clearer in the above picture that Orbital Frame posted! (I'm sure quite a few will customize that for their regular Super Saiyan Goku figure.)

I think it's the line under the eyes that gives him that menacing look. I assume they're meant to show the cheek bone but with such a small canvas for the face, it comes off rather menacing. SDCC Goku doesn't have that look since his lines seem to be shaded over.

Edited: Here's a comparison between how different shades, and I believe bigger pupils, make the same face look...

- The premiere of the film in Japan.
- Tamashii wants more of our money, apart from the profits they're going to get with Disney franchises.

Not only do we have the apparent release of Ultimate Gohan in Sept (still not convinced until Tamashii says it) but BOTH movie figures the month after? My poor bank! I hope if Vegeta and Beerus vome out that they arent November, that just sounds like hell, I will need to take out a loan just to get them all! Jk [emoji38]

Ha, I don't think you're that far off though with that last explanation. Either licensing from Disney is costly or Tamashii is making a sweet profit with them. Frozen, Star Wars, and Avengers.

How much does the currency transfer for Goku and Frieza? I had Yen to Dollar and got $38.14.

The picture Orbital Frame posted has a clear zoom-in close up of the smirking face, too. The good news about that is 1.) The licensor finally approved the face and 2.) If we get a Super Saiyan 2 Goku, there is a high possibility of having an actual Super Saiyan Goku smirking face that can be used for either Super Saiyan or Super Saiyan 2 heads.

Edited: Another exciting part is Goku's belt. That's one step closer to Saiyan/Namek/Frieza Saga and Dragon Ball Z Final Episode/Manga Goku!

You know, you could repaint that blue hair mould into black with reddish highlights as kaioken hairstyle... Or just black. Goku has that hair when he powers up long before ssj.

Yeah Goku's hair has blown up like that plenty of times. Kaioken, False SSJ, the wind, everything does it.

And yes that is definitely a smirk. You can see the upturned corner of his mouth.

Vegetto is getting released on the 24th in Japan
Sdcc exclusive in July
Gohan is in September
And both goku and Frieza in October

I don't get it, they rereleased ssj zero goku web exclusive as an exception. Rerelease ssj vegeta as a similar exception. If they're not releasing any vegeta in 2,5 years, they are insane in my eyes.

I'm curious as to how they're gonna tie in the end of DBZ with all this God stuff. I mean so far, nothing contradicts anything. I hope in the next movie we get to see Teen Trunks and Teen Goten some more.

Me too. I want to see them as teenagers. I think they could do some fun banter with them—going on dates and such. That was a funny moment at the end of Z where Vegeta threatens Trunks that he'd cut his allowance for not fighting, and Goku making Gote cancel his date to fight.

I'm thinking that Whis is just using this as training practice for Goku and Vegeta to take out Beerus or the other 11 gods. Or Whis just kills Beerus, and then the gods come after him for justice, and he manipulates Goku and Vegeta to fight with him.

I'm looking forward to seeing someone do a SSGSS Vegito custom like this. It looks pretty sweet:
