We really don't know why Tamashii changed SS3 Goku from that color. Perhaps they tried to make it more anime-accurate but that doesn't always work out in the end result.

But anyway, lets talk about Majin Vegeta and which faces he should come with.

And none of this woulda happened without the source material. There's a market for a black and white dbz figures and a perfectly good excuse for Bandai to reissue older sh figuarts dbz toys in this manner.

All I responded to was your comment that seemed to imply manga had a higher status than the anime for dbz: it does not. (Case in point the current manga is adapted from RoF and the DBSuper series, not the other way around.) Source material or not is irrelevant. Numbers determine current relevancy. There's a **** ton of **** that a whole lot of people want more than the quantity of people who want to see precious slots of ANYTHING go to things like black&white releases. I have ZERO doubt about that, and neither side on this is factually provable without the biggest global survey ever.

Majority rules, period. It's not a principle issue, it's a numbers game. Unless you can show me that a significant percentage of of dbz fans grew up on the manga (I'm talking at the least a third), I'm not convinced. How many fans of dbz at large are there? Utterly convinced the majority is a fan of the anime above the manga and even knew the anime first. Even with superman and batman that stuff is the case. This is market-production: majority demand rules. I've said that defending things I wanted, I've said that defending the release of stuff I did NOT want, such as Broly. It's just simple, imo tamashii should do what most people want most. And right NOW thats not black and white releases, not a shred of doubt in my mind even if I had half the board against me here.

In a few years, once we have a lot more fan favourites, different characters etc, once we've been through all that then sure, throw out a black n white goku, they wanna keep making goku's anyway. But if it happened now or within say two years I'd call a big whooping BS on it.

I don't see why anyone would put it up immediately. Hmmm well... as long as the sdcc isnt revealed then it only rises value to wait. Some might even take the gamble to wait for the reveal cause if the reveal isnt this goku it's scalpering time. Although I think it will be.

Yeah ive been watching ebay listings like an inmate watching his four wall jail. I just hope its the sdcc ex. I feel sorry for late a collector that decides to collect for this line. They will have to pay out the you know what for that goku and even if tamashii decides to do one those repaints, it'll never be an anime accurrate like this goku.

Oh yeah, Mexico does indeed. Type in "mexico dragonball" and see what you get. S***ton of bootlegs. They've got DBZ shoes there as well. Just waiting for some guy to throw that sucker on there and then it's every man for himself.

Haven't seen a single one pop up yet. REALLY hoping it's the SDCC now. I want to get a few of him to have him posed regular, Ginyu Goku, and a BoG Goku. I'm hearing over at DBF that some people are selling him for $200 and up via Facebook. Damn.

Wow $200? CMON that's high . I hope he's at sdcc or that the rumor of them having some for online stores is real apart from the 500 they had this weekend at the actual event .
