I really hope it's explained more how exactly these gods are different from the other gods (the Kai's, Kami, etc.). Whis and Beerus have the right to be called god, the other ones are so pathetically weaker in comparison it borders on Yamcha levels

I tend to think of the Kais as the overseers of the universe. The normal Kais have the most direct contact with their section of the galaxy, and they report to grand Kai. My guess is that the supreme Kais were once the "protectors" of the universe, hence why they were the ones to battle Buu. I've always thought they were separate, just like Beerus, in that they have their own place and job to fulfill.

I dont even think the normal Kais are gods at all tbh. Goku was able to use instant transmission to go to king Kai (north) planet several times, meaning he had a power level that could be sensed. The supreme Kais on the other hand could not, neither could Beerus, Whis or God Goku. The normal Kais are like Yemma, just workers in the afterlife.

For kami he's not actually god just "earths watcher" because honestly as long as you're namekain you can be earths "watcher" or "God"

Exactly, which is why Beerus should've mentioned Buu instead of Frieza & being surprised of his defeat. The Kais themselves couldn't defeat him, they had to seal him. But a low-level Saiyan manages to do the job? That would've caught Beerus' attention right away. But it is what it is

If I recall correctly, Beerus and Whis live in another dimension or universe? They perhaps oversee their particular universe and the Kai's oversee different quadrants within that universe.

Agreed. Being Namekian isnt a prerequisite to become guardian, it was just needed so the dragonballs would continue to function.

Yay but you kind of have to be namekian now a days so to speak, because then there'd be no dragon balls. And piccolo doesn't know how to make them.

So the way I see it, it goes:

Universe 7 (Corporation)
Beerus/Whis (CEO)
Grand Kai (Head Supervisor)
The Kai's (Managers)
Kami and the like (Assistant Manager)

I'm not even gonna get into Otherworld/Hell...

..which is why he should've said "Is Buu still sealed?" and then Whis would've replied "Not anymore, but he's dead now," etc. See where I'm coming from?

In fact he should've just mentioned BOTH of them. The ruler of the universe & the destroyer of Kais, BOTH being killed by ONE Saiyan?? I gotta meet this dude myself.
