Also another note, what's the craze with Piccolo? Yeah sure, first release yadda yadda price is going up yadda yadda, but here's why he won't fetch as much as SSJ Vegeta or sdcc Goku: the god damned colors. Not everyone is a completionist. Buyers want a figure that will match up with the scheme of current releases. The demand from completionists for Piccolo is not comparable to the demand for just as rare, more color accurate figures like The sdcc releases and Vegeta. So buy him if you're a completionist, if not wait for a re-release. Some say there won't be one, but it will come eventually in the form of an exclusive. Believe that.

For some reason Piccolo is mega cheap for me (uk buyer), I dont know whether France has a stockpile of him or what, but here he is almost as cheap as the goku rerelease.

They'd be idiots to not release an Anime Piccolo with Special Beam Canon. It should have been a comic con exclusive this year, but they've made no announcements about an SDCC exclusive yet, so I'm getting the feeling there won't be one. At the end of the day I don't care enough about Piccolo to risk overpaying for a version of the character I don't really care for, so I'm content waiting indefinitely.

SS Vegeta on the other hand... I really really wish they would re-release him soon. I only got into these semi-recently, so I missed the boat on him the first time around. The aftermarket prices are ridiculous, and as much as I want him I just can't justify paying three times the price of the figure. I keep hoping I'll find someone who has a spare and wants something I have to trade with, but no luck so far.

my guess is nappa for the SDCC exclusive; pretty sure they said no more repaints

Piccolo was going for $100+ , but like 6 months ago, a new batch was produced in Asia and distributed to USA and Europe.
So you could say it has already been reissued, the box says Bandai 2012 and the like, not 2010 or idk when it was originally released.

So yeah, when the new batch came, a lot of retailers had him for the MSRP price again of about $38! And that´s when I bought it, I was already looking for a cheap one for a while.
So I would say grab it while you can, seeing it has already been "reissued".

I plan on picking up Piccolo next week.... Ur not gonna get any better prices really.... He's just gonna keep going up until they eventually do re-release him...

But anyway I decided to keep my Gohan it was a very small tear on the back of the box so no big deal.... So glad I'm getting into these figures....

has anyone received a reissue goku yet? are there any differences in the box? gold sticker? silver sticker? different production year?

Did anyone else order Ss Goku from veemart ( amazon )? I just got an email saying there was something wrong with the figure so they can't send it.

Veemeer us a piece of ****!!! You probably won't get a refund either.

Specificly, they said they DON'T WANT to do repaints, and would rather do full on new characters. as the costs between making a new character and a repaint are negligeable.

I thought that the DBZ figuarts line was now a US exclusive line with limited release in Asia; why are Goku rerelease and regular vegeta already out overseas but not in the US?
