Forgot about all of that. Been so long since I've seen the series, let alone the Cell Saga. I mostly remember Vegeta always being a **** to Trunks. In the beginning he may have been a rival but towards the end, I guess Vegeta's true feelings came out.

YEs he was angry and realized how much of a **** head he was to him, but it isnt the same as the father you've had your whole life die. Thats why u see much more emotion when bulma gets slapped then when Future trunks dies. IF it was kid trunks he would've gone crazier then he did with bulma since he raised him and trained him. **** probably would go ssj 3 lol.

Decided to go ahead and review the SDCC 2011 ssj Goku for folks who may not have seen him, I know the last time it was brought up some folks had no idea there were differences, so here you go

great job deano!! also my sdcc 11 goku also has his joints slightly loose no where near saiyan saga vegeta but not as good as the original.

I like the idea of Trunks' death bringing out the ssj2 in Gohan. That's where dbz falls flat: developing strong interpersonal relationships.

yeah, it's really stuck out to me in a bad way. It's nice that teenage Gohan has a decent-ish relationship with kid Trunks, but still...it's also weird how Future Trunks is NEVER mentioned after his departure. We hear about Cell and stuff, but never Future Trunks. I get what Silrian said, but you know, this Bulma was a bit different from the one he met, so yeah. I dunno.

To everyone saying cell should've killed piccolo wouldnt that mean the dragon balls would vanish? I dont remember if dende was protector of earth yet, also vegeta didnt really care for future trunks likr a son. He usually treated him like **** and was jealous he was a saiyan and saw him as competition. They didnt have the same realitionship as kid trunks and vegeta. Imo vegeta will never surpass goku stated and shown in every saga, and now by whis. He wont ever be stronger but he can beat him if he exploits gokus weakness.

The Dragon Balls actually vanished by that point due to Piccolo fusing with Kami, but they came back after Dende became the guardian.

On Vegeta and Future Trunks, Vegeta only acknowledges Trunks in a few instances of power, barely as his own child. When he realizes how Trunks became a Super Saiyan and who he actually is ("but of course, he is my son"), and when he tells Semi-perfect Cell that Trunks could take him on because Trunks is almost as strong as Vegeta himself. But these only show how vain Vegeta truly was.

Animeisland says we'll get ultimate gohan stateside at the end of October/early November. Awakened Goku is end of December/ early January. But with the port strikes, who knows...

Nice to see we finally have an adult Gohan even if it is just a simple headswap. Would've preferred Great Saiyaman over this since he could've come with a lot more stuff and forms but maybe one day. At least this figure comes with an effect part and a stand so I'm actually looking forward to getting this guy in my hands.

Box color should've been white to go with his aura. The teal is out of nowhere really...

speaking of which do you guys think we'll eventually see Super Saiyan God Gogeta in Super? Whis kinda hints towards that when he was saying if they were to work together, they would be near unstoppable

I'd like adult gohan to be relevant. The turqoise sorta matches the kai's outfits on the arms. I find it funny that it seems random whether the box colors are random or not.


So is awakening goku a web exclusive or normal release?

Awakening Goku is definitely a normal release, they made a big deal of it when he was first announced. The Kai thing actually makes sense Sil, maybe the color of the box isnt so bizarre after all.

i can make like three gohans out of this one lol so im happy! as for the gogeta i dont think so. I think when whis said that they should of replied with we already tried as vegito or something lol.

I don't think it's impossible. I could definitely see that, it would be pretty sweet. I just wonder how Toriyama would design him though. Toei's Gogeta is pretty much exactly what I suspect Gogeta would look like since it's basically the same as Gotenks only with different colors. The "official" design should look pretty similar, if not look exactly like it but perhaps with different colors.

I wouldn't be surprised if they focused on DB Super, they've got a few RoF Figuarts on the way. Unless some DB Super designs match DBZ, I hope they don't really focus

The thing is, what figures can they make from DBS? So far DBS is covering the movies and Tamashii's already got all they can from that except for Whis and SSG Goku. The other side characters in their new outfits wouldn't really make for great figures especially since most of them don't even fight anymore.

I wouldn't worry too much about DBS taking slots over older stuff, at least not yet. The show isn't at the point where there's new characters being introduced and it probably won't be for a few months seeing as they're just at the middle of BoG.
