it's crazy how only several years ago we would be waiting like at least 6 months between releases. these days we're pretty much getting characters back-to-back, which is both a good & bad thing (good for our displays, bad for our wallets)

I'm not complaining since I started collecting this line about 2 years ago, so the wait in between releases hasn't been that bad. Thankfully I'm not currently collecting any other lines out there, then it would be RIP bank account.

Yea; Yea beat him 2x and on second win he started giggling like a goof and talking the crap. I just play for fun so i said eff it and stopped playing him. Then i was told the next day he'd made a thread or something. I don't know what was said, but whatever. I'm not going to throw matches on a video game in case the other party may be a crybaby

DrowningRabbit - In terms of photography, I've put a lot of work into it all, progressing etc etc, and pretty frequently I'll get questions and the like, which is awesome as i love giving back. However, one of the best parts about photography is learning and experimenting, and I'm not going to help people bypass that. You didn't ask me how to or for help worn what you were starting; you asked for a bypass. Come on, now.

Toy display? If that's the case then i appreciate the clarification and apologize but i read it as showing details of photography set up like exactly where everything is placed in terms of lights and whatnot, which is what initiated said response.

Yeah, pretty sure he was just referring to just the display. Nothing about revealing trade secrets or anything like that.

I just re read and he specifically mentioned a lightbox which is something used for lighting photos and the like. I do appreciate the second set of eyes though. I'm definitely not perfect and am not outside of misconstruing things.

Again, it's not maliciousand i love talking shop, but it makes ME better being able to teach people how to focus out problems and work with their equipment rather than just showing them a pic of a light setup and saying, "just imitate that. " I want to help people become better photographers moreso than just putting out better pics.

For kicks though, ill definitely post a pic of my dbz display tomorrow. It's likely the crappiest setup here but I'm at least glad to have a decent amount of figures. I envy everyone who can have the awesome poses, effects, etc.

I'm not looking to bypass anything, but you came off real douchey. You could have said trade secrets or something or otherwise handled it less awkwardly. I was mostly curious if you had a light box that you use and how you display your stuff regularly. I'm not looking for shortcuts, just insight.

Of note, if I was looking for shortcuts, I can google it myself. It isn't as much secret as personal experience that truly makes you better. The main thing I was curious about your photography stuff was just if you just had a place set up, like a light box, or if you go for a more complex situation.

A simple "I have a custom light box and display my stuff like this" would have been a bit more cordial.

It was not because I expected you to tell me more, but rather decline in a polite way instead of you looking down on someone curious in how you take nice pictures. I don't do figure photography, but would like to some time.

I was simply referring to the fact that "I'm not doing that" is a lot more stand off ish than the reply you posted later. The second reply makes total sense, and I get where you are coming from. The first just makes you look like you don't care to partake in any kind of discussion at all.

There are plenty of people who enjoy helping people with questions about their hobby, and instead of being upset because I didn't phrase things how you wanted me to, you just assume that someone wants to steal an idea or something I guess?

Regardless, I appreciate the photos that you do post, as they are always very nice, I just didn't think a simple question would have gotten such a derisive reply.

E: after taking the dogs for a quick walk, a better comparison I realized is a simple behind the scenes. What did it take to get something like that. Not measurements or anything like you seem to infer, but 'I have an entire table/room set up just for this type of stuff' or ' there is a piece of glass and a white sheet behind it'.

So for the same reason i just stopped playing the videogame loser guy I'm not going to carry on this conversation if that's how you're going to go on about. I was not upset as there was nothing to be upset about and that's pretty hypocritical as you literally just got mad bc i didn't respond in your preferred manner. I'm not going to go that route back as you've always seemed decent to me and i just don't do that on these forums.

This isn't even an argument yet it's become a multi-response conversation. All i wanted to do was share damned pics.
