EDIT: Thanks angelo, oh, and what surveys? Lol I've never knew of any surveys

In every release, there's a white sheet of paper with the instructions about the product. On the back of that piece of paper is a bar code that will lead you to a website. There you will be given a list of the products released within the past couple of months. Click on the product and take the survey. They will ask you to rate the product on different areas.

The current Dragon Ball Z survey asks you what character you would like to see released in general and than what characters you would like to see released from Dragon Ball Z Resurrection F and Dragon Ball Super. (It's aimed towards the Japan market but we're still allowed to voice our opinion.)

I'm convinced about this with Vegeta too, Ang. And PC Vegeta should have had crossed arms because that still looks dumb with trying to cross his arms, and it would have been a simple recolor. I'd gladly take that over the Final Flash hands. I might just put my OG SSJ Vegeta with Scouter Vegeta's crossed arms. I agree on the faces, and if they do come with sideways glances, they should have a regular and the glance. SSJ2 Gohan Armor Trunks have that with their stoic faces and while Gohan has a shouting face with sideways glance, it works surprisingly well.

Also same on FiguartsZero Vegeta, but that was a gift from a bestie who knows my love for Vegeta so yeah

I couldn't believe Tamashii posed Premium Color Super Saiyan Vegeta with his arms in a "crossed" look on the official packaging! :mad: It would have been a simple addition to the figure and an amazing accessory. Again, I would have gladly paid more for the crossed arms. Exactly! I was even thinking about that with Premium Color Super Saiyan Vegeta. All they have to do is paint the eyes facing forward. I don't believe the face was sculpted specifically to look to the right. I'll have to take a picture and photoshop the result to determine if it was or not.

I have noticed that with Super Saiyan Trunks. I believe it was purposely done because of the iconic artwork. '

I'm surprised they didn't take that route with Super Warrior Awakening Goku.

Super Saiyan 2 Gohan is understandable because it works for him looking at Perfect Cell and the Father-Son Kamehameha. I do wish we were given a shouting face that is facing forward for him.

I know right? It would have been less effort to just repaint the arms, I think (I'm probably wrong). then giving him new hands. We could have taken the hands from Scouter Vegeta too! For the faces, I get why they kept it like that but **** it I would have been fine. The other thing about the sideways glance is that regardless, it just doesn't look good at all. Vegeta looks cross eyed on the smirk face, and it's unintentionally hilarious :lol

Trunks is definitely because of the artwork. On SSJ2 Gohan, totally, but on its own I think it's still fine.

Adam says that Tamashii wants fan input and he wants us to be loud about it.

Fans: Nappa! Majin Vegeta! Tien! More villains!

Tamashii: Did somebody say Jaco?

Loud about it? We've all gone deaf from screaming Majin Vegeta ten thousand times...

Something that really drove me crazy about that interview is the fact he said the japanese market has grown and that's why the line got more attention - although he did not say it exactly in this words, but that what's I understood from him.

Dude, the japanese market probably didn't increase much, what happened in my opinion is that the majority of people outside Japan end up buying in japanese stores online, so the sales actually go up, but because we are tired of waiting 1 month + for figures to release in USA, and in Brazil the situation is even worst, next month we will have the official release of the SSGSS Goku and Golden Freeza... So it's obvious we all buy figures from Japan (and most of stores here in my country do that actually, in real big numbers...)

Don't get me wrong, probably the line got more popular in Japan but you can be sure that at least 60% of the sales increased are not because of japanese buyers...

What's wrong with these guys? I mean, they barely give us the figures we want, never listen to what we say (no matter how hard we try or the place we say it, neither facebook, nor twitter or anywhere at all), they still don't play a fair game with the figures - If they made this amazing new Armoured Super Trunks, of course they have this new sculpt, so why not releasing this Vegeta PCE edition with a updated sculpt? Even if it was with this yellow hair that majority people disliked, people would be pleased by the amazing new sculpt, people who own the older Vegeta would be okay and would buy the new one, and whoever didn't own the previous would be like "*****k the older, this one is incredible better".

Maybe they think they do the smartest choices for the business and that they are clever as all hell, but they do the japanese choices for business... Konami (in gaming general) acts the same way, they do whatever they want and don't care about people outside japan... And maybe they think that re-releasing over and over again similar figures they are having a huge load of profit, but in fact they're not.

Do not forget what they did last year in SDCC with the most wanted Goku of all time (probably only behind the SWA goku), can you guys think of any figure that would sell more than the SDCC of last year? I can think only of SWA goku and Majin Vegeta ahead of him, he would sell really well if he was a regular or even a tamashii exclusive, and look what they did!!!
This is not smart at all, look at all the other companies moves, whenever they release a SDCC, in my opinion they usually end up giving something that is either "nah I can live without that" or something that is "okay, it's cool but they have this other item that is pretty similar" - of course there are a few exceptions and sometimes the item is really great, but it's like releasing the main Naruto or the red Power Ranger or the main character in the most iconic outfit of any franchise as a exclusive of a convention.

Sorry about the long text, but I really dislike the actions of tamashii and that's why I sold almost my whole collection and kept only my favourite 3... A company that does not threat the clients/buyers the way they deserve, will not receive my money (unless it's a pretty decent figure) - that's why being a completionist is such a bad thing for the market overall... People don't buy because they like the product or because the product has high quality, people only buy it for the sake of having it, and tamashii (that isn't very smart and we all can see it at this point) goes like "hey, look! we are doing it right, just see how good these random figures sell, that's what people want, get jaco ready because he will be another success!!!"

Now the poll starts, who will be released first?
- Nipple guy;
- Yellow nameless bear;
- Freeza counterfelt;
- The saiyan kid;
- The last remaining guy of the team

OR

- Majin Vegeta;
- Nappa;
- Tien;
- Yamcha;
- A lot of the other older characters that everyone loves and ask for?

Time to gather the Super Dragon Balls guys, because even the namek Dragon Balls wouldn't gather the wish of Tamashii doing the figures we've been asking for so long!

Loud about it? We've all gone deaf from screaming Majin Vegeta ten thousand times...

He even mentioned in previous years that fans have been wanting Majin Vegeta, another Super Saiyan Vegeta, and Nappa, so as much as I want to be positive, he's being pretty disingenuous.

You don't have to apologize. It's a great post and I'm sure everyone here would agree with you. I'm glad that you stick to your principles.

Also, your avatar is awesome man!

Thanks for your kindness, my avatar is a picture of my shelf, here's the full picture:

And the shelf of the right has been totally changed, and looks like this now:

I'm either divided by laughing my ass off due your gif or being angry about not a single word of the post being read :rotfl:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

That gif if genious, totally saving it

I'm just busting balls. But to your post, I'm going to say with 100% confidence we'll see the Universe 6 team in figure form long before we see any DBZ figures we truly want.

Mipacs, you speak nothing but the truth. It's honestly mind boggling how they STILL cater to the Japanese market when it's quite obvious judging by sales, aftermarket prices, and overwhelming out crying that the international market is what keeps this line going. The interview put a lot of things into perspective and the catering to Japan is one huge negative.

They must have a really crappy market research team because I'm sure places like forums are the number 1 place to look in regards to what the fans want. Like you mentioned, the social media outlets are also used vastly and yet they stand there seeming to have no idea on what we want. They need to restrategize to the markets that give them most of their precious money, cuz Japan is not one of the them.

Holy cow! Your display is amazing Mipacs! There's a lot of awesome displays here, but yours really stands out! I love them both, but the first one with Goku holding Gohan has got to be my favorite pose for a figure that I've seen.

So what are your collecting goals as of right now?

Yep, that we can really expect, because there is no logic, there is only Tamashii! :slap

Precisely what I think... They are not in contact with the reality, as you said, their market research team is really doing a wrong job, or the high end executives understand the market in a totally diferent way it actually is! They could be getting way more money than they do now! :exactly:

Thank you! They really took some time to be done and I'm proud of them!! :hi5:

And indeed the Goku holding Gohan is my favourite too, I really like it!

Well to be really honest I don't know what my collecting goals are anymore...

I consider my Goku and Gohan shelf 100% complete and don't plan on touching anything there.

But the Goku SWA vs Vegeta shelf still need some minor fixes IMO, and I'm not 100% satisfied with it yet, so I'm probably gonna change something there.

For future releases, I'm not a huge fan of owning a lot of figures (I neither have the money nor the interest), but one thing that I would like to recreate is the SSJ2 Goku with halo VS Majin Vegeta fight... For me is one of the most iconic fights of the rivalry between those 2... I could even use this second shelf with a sort of "timeline", first SWA Goku with normal head VS Vegeta Scouter, then in the middle SSJ2 Goku vs Majin Vegeta and in the right SSGSS Goku vs SSGSS Vegeta, but these are still projects and thoughts only, I'm not exactly sure yet how I will proceed.

I think Beerus is a solid and very good figure, along with the upcoming Super Trunks but I don't plan on buying those 2 because I don't have either a shelf or a project for them, but they are incredible good!

That sounds like a plan! Great idea for a display.

I hear you on the small collection. I keep thinking I'm going to buy a bunch of stuff, but I don't have money or the space.

My figuarts collecting goals are getting all retail Goku and Vegeta and a Goku and Vegeta family and friends display. And then on the side of that I'm planning on buying a couple Mezco Batman and Joker figures to display together (I already got a Dark Knight Returns one and I have the BvS one on pre-order), and then a Mezco Daredevil and Punisher to display together.

Don't know if I'll be able to afford all that, but that's what I'm hoping for. Luckily, I get to see all the awesome displays people post here!

I understand, the only issue regarding the Goku and family/friends is that it will include basically all the figures (except a few villains), making money that will be spent real high.. But the good thing is that you won't need all the variants of all the figures, but since you want all the Goku and Vegeta retail releases you're probably going end up having almost the whole collection :lol:lol:lol:lol

But you can go slowly, I'm pretty sure your display will be very good within time, and you can keep getting ideas from here and then build a epic one for yourself!!

Oh no! I just call my Androids, Kuririn, Gohan, SDCC Piccolo my family and friends display for now. It's just that since my collection is focused on Goku and Vegeta, I don't have anywhere to put those figures, so that's why I'm calling them that. I going to have to sell them so I can afford to buy retail Gokus and Vegetas.:lol

The huge issue with the Japanese market is catering to them almost killed the line, but getting the line out to international fans saved it! I can understand maybe trying to give a little to both or balancing it, that's fine. But Japan's love also apparently brought Kid Goku back in GT, and that was horrible. (I love Kid Goku but combining him with SSJ, and killing his adorable, clueless personality is just plain wrong) I just can't read Tamashii or Bleufin sometimes, it's strange. Good Smile Company caters to BOTH markets pretty well - their bias is toward Japan, but they have a bigger presence there and even then, their bias isn't bad for their international buyers. And they've tried ever so for their international buyers too like when the Pokemon Company made getting some of the Pokemon Nendroids a nightmare to buy, and Good Smile was able to strike a deal. But in Tamashii's case, don't cater to the killers, cater to the saviors. :lecture

But anyway, Mipacs, I love your display and agree with your statements. I wanna see more of your display sometime too! I don't blame your notion for selling your collection. At this point I have all the non-SDCC releases but I will probably draw the line at some point, specifically with Super and Jaco in particular. I am actually thinking of selling some of my collection though, other figures I mean.

Unfortunately, Tamashii is a Japanese brand, so they will always cater to Japan first, as stupid and weird as that is, plus, with Super out they know they can make money from that series now.
