I still say it's too early to completely write off Super as a failure. It's inconsistent, yes. But not a complete disaster as the anime has done a few things better than the movies IMO. Just enjoy it for what it is. This universe 6 stuff could really explode into something exciting. A month from now we'll all be loving Monaka and his nipples, I bet.[emoji38]
To me, though, the original DB is and always will be the best and my personal fave, and this is coming from someone that watched and read it after Z. DBZ as an anime was fine but the manga is superior IMO. From beginning all the way to the end of Cell saga, the manga was pure gold dust. Unfortunately, the Boo saga as a whole, while it had its moments, just doesn't hold up to the quality of previous arcs both in writing and the art. I got the feeling that Toriyama was past his prime at that point and just didn't have the same drive, and it kind of showed (though I can't blame him when he was doing it for so long).

The manga as a whole is such a fun and easy read, though. I have all 42 volumes on my shelf.

Some of the people prefer to deny the superiority of the original manga.

I will be honest, that hair will likely be the only way I will buy that or GT Goku. I love my Gokus, but even I admit we are reaching saturation at this point, and I just have no want for anything GT unless its the ssj4 designs.

That looks awesome, but I'm glad it's a fake. I'd be pretty sad if my other favorite gi for Goku was also a SDCC exclusive.

I have the manga as well. My prefer the Dragon Ball anime for the first half of the story, and I prefer the manga for the Dragon Ball Z portion of the story since the pacing is so much better. I prefer the Majin Vegeta stuff in the anime though. The animation is awesome, and I never wanted that SSJ2 Goku vs Majin Vegeta fight to end.

Dragon Ball is not alone on this, I know a lot of crazy moonies who prefer the anime to the manga, and don't like Crystal for following it closely. But still pretty true.

Even though I want it, I don't think they should do that either. We only get so many releases a year, and I want everyone to get their favorite characters. I really want you guys to get your Nappa!

If they're gonna keep reusing the Goku mold (they will), the very least they could do is use the new knees. Everything else can be the same, just change the ****ing knees. No excuse to not do it, simple swap and repaint. Using the SSJ3 deltoids would be nice too but they haven't done it yet so I'm not counting on that.

Well, they should fix the knee, the inner tigh (just like in SWA where you can spread Goku legs like a ballerina and he still looks fabulous) and of course the deltoids, if they did that I would be okay with the Goku mold.

for a company that prides itself on "near-flawless" accuracy, why the refuse to update those deltoids is a mystery. it's 100% ugly. look how much better the entire arm, hell the entire figure looks just by altering something so minor, yet still they refuse to do so

Exactly... I don't own SSGSS Goku but this sort of customization is really worth doing (want to try that someday)... Jesus this is something so simple

We shouldn't have to sand down, panel line, or otherwise customize the figure so it's accurate and looks better. That's the job of the company making them. If we're gonna fork over our money, the least they could do is perform simple fixes and pay more attention to detail to deliver a much better product. It's the little things really

Nub marks, seam lines, and inconsistent paint apps are normal qc issues that will happen with every action figure line, these are things I'd consider "little things". Reusing 6 year old molds lack of panel lining, and in vegito's case, lack of any paint app on ssj hair whatsoever. IMO those boil down to poor decisions/cost cutting/short cuts made from a production standpoint and I definitely dont see them as 'little' anymore.

Yeah the reason I don't like fixing up my figures, unless it's something like joints, is that we shouldn't have to.

The other quality control stuff I can get, other figure lines have that issue but still.

I've been asking myself what release I wouldn't buy and the only one that comes to mind is Jaco. I'd have to see more possible releases that would make me question whether or not I would purchase it.

I agree. There have been moments where I've wanted to customize a certain figure or part of that figure but I end up feeling that I shouldn't have to. Broly's hair, Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Goku's smirk face, and etc.

im so with you on that man, i would love a future gohan, saiyaman gohan and also blue/purple gi gohan (would also go great with broly). Wouldnt mind a Tien either. Also feel like Gogeta may not have much of a chance either as well as cooler. But if i had to choose i gotta go with the gohans, especially future gohan! they just need to retool a goku body at the least! and that's if theyre being lazy about it!

Also would like bojack trunks and bojack gohan and more villains in general.
