If anybody is interested in effects, Figure-Rise Standard is releasing yellow and blue energy and electricity effects that are up for pre-orders. Little more than 700 yen is pretty freaking good...

i like that better than this Tamashii effect



i understand a lot of collectors here own this, and i dont mean to offend anyone but to me it just looked so blah, kinda like a cardboard cutout background. i feel Tamashii could've done better

The Tamashii Nations energy effects are pretty good for standing powering up poses. I think it looks pretty cool turned sideways as a giant energy blast too. The Figure-Rise Standard energy effects will add more of a dimensional display though.



What I look forward to the most from the Figure-Rise Standard effects are the lightning effects. I know the Tamashii Nations lightning effects weren't made for Dragon Ball Z line specifically but I'll be able to display the Figure-Rise Standard lightning effects the way I want.

Imo the best effects for creating a more dynamic and powerful look are the Obitsu Gowawon effects. They're pretty cheap and of good quality. Most badass effects for DB figures I've owned

@Rkhenshin I honestly just hold m under the cold water tap and then subtly dry them with cloth and let them dry out. But there's not much to clean except dust for me...

If I had not known about shf, I'd be pretty happy with those modelkits...

How do you clean them?
Only water? (Cold, warm, hot)?
You put them in a tub with water or just pass them with a wet handkerchief? or dry?
It has to be a specific type of tissue? or any?
The color of the shfiguarts may damage?

Why are they getting so dirty?

I'd suggest taking a damp cloth (slight wet with cold water), preferably a 100% cotton old shirt or something (like a white under-shirt is preferable) and gently padding the figure with it to remove any excess dirt. Carefully avoid any metal as that is prone to future rusting. You can use a damp Q-tip for smaller crevasses. Pretty important to also dry the figure afterwards, or else the water could get "absorbed" and eventually damage the paint and plastic...which is why we suggest avoiding getting any metal wet.

It really depends on how "dirty" they are. If you smoke, then smoke stains can be trickier to get out...but if it's dust and regular debris from display...that is much easier. You might also want to invest in a glass or plastic display case to prevent them from getting dusty and dirty.

Hi, my ssj goku (regular) has very loose waist. Looks like the problem is with the lower torso's ball peg. It just won't "lock" in place. Anyone knows how to fix this?

talking about that... i think that should be better if they make "Black" instead of Goku, should be Broly for example. Would be more interesting too. So bad, they choose again Goku. We already have Turles! now Black Goku... ´m a little tired... with many gokus!

So this popped up on dragonballfigures.com forums. This individual must know someone because he managed to get his hands on an Awakening Goku well before anyone else, and it seems he has some connections, but in the end, still treat this as nothing more than a rumor:



Edit: So seeing as how I don't know how to increase the size of the image, it's not the image itself that's intriguing, but his comments. D_Amazing is stating that there is possibly going to be another 2.0 Goku in the same uniform shown in the image. That is something that many here has been asking for for awhile now, but again, this is just a rumor. Whether he really knows is anyone's guess, but let the speculation commence.

d_amazing (Darius I think his name is) does indeed have some connections with either BlueFin and/or Bandai-Tamashii. He claims that Bandai gave him the Saiyan Warrior Awakening early for his review...but honestly, he's not exactly a "big name" in the action figure review world and doesn't exactly generate the views you would expect for someone who would get privileges from Bandai. Nevertheless, he obviously had some connection to get it so early.

It's no surprise that the Goku body is becoming overdue for a 2.0 update using Tamashii's new technology. d_amazing might very well have some insight to that through his connections but otherwise I'll take a "wait and see" approach.

Speaking of which, it appears that reviews for Sh Figuarts Whis are popping up on youtube. His skirt is detachable for added articulation.
