I'm extremely excited for the Xenoverse releases and the future of Tamashii Nation's Character Categories in general. It's a great time to be a Dragon Ball collector.

I tried the normal Goku head on the Super Warrior Awakening Goku body. It looked good but I would like the shirtless Goku to have him punch Scouter Vegeta. (We need that face to come with 2.0 Vegeta)

Holy. Crap. Great display and photography! I really like the use of the flame and impact effects.

yeah man, thanks to the resurgence of DB popularity, the figuarts line has so many possibilities, i am even hoping for a saiyan/namek krillin (so i dont have to pay crazy amount for the OG) haha

dude! i totally forgot about that iconic gut punch! If they ever make a kaioken x3 goku they should do what they did for A18 and have goku come with a special vegeta face to recreate that scene! Also, although im excited for nappa and probably gonna get him, im kind of torn about it. Since most of the fight he was armorless and accurate displays with him armored are more limited imo. For example, the iconic pose with the goku kaioken finisher but i guess since tien and yamcha coming out, you could make a pretty epic tien vs nappa display (before chiaotzu blew himself up).

ATM my impact display is being used for piccolo vs A17 and the red flames i have on Golden frieza facing off against SSB goku (with blue flame effects), personally i prefer the use of flame effects for the auras since they can encricle a figure, plus there's plenty of bootlegs in different colors on Aliexpress and ebay. I was considering getting a yellow flame and clear one (for saiyan beyond god) but still havent gotten around to it.

I did in my showcase video now that you mention it FSLAR, it definitely looks like the turtle hermit kanji.

I figured it had to be that, since the Freiza Saga Goku didn't fit as well against Scouter Vegeta and he went kaio-ken a lot during the fight to have a chance against Vegeta. Not to mention the Kaio-Ken literally became 'Kaio-what' against Freiza so yeah

I actually like the Kaio-ken paint application on the displayed prototype. I wouldn't mind seeing one released at some point.

Same, it does look pretty good but I wish they went the extra mile and used that SSJ3 mold with belt, and kanji.

I actually mentioned this a few times..... why wont senpai notice me! lol that's the reason why i may get it if it comes out is because of the saiyan saga kanji, would go great with nappa and scouter vegeta.

I also POed xeno Trunks, on the fence about Time patroller though. I figured with xeno Trunks i could have more options when combined with armored trunks, and with the retooled SSJ hair, although not accurate, it would be closer to accuracy for a Trunks vs future imperfect Cell look. I could also put the ponytail hair on the xeno trunks to make the DB heroes look too, so many options!

@angelo i actually have my frieza saga goku posed similar to that picture, he's a stand in for saiyan saga to go with my scouter vegeta atm, i have him at an angle that hides his kanji lol

I was wondering who mentioned it, I thought someone did...oops sorry kohai. That is the nice thing with Xeno trunks, does allow for more options with the armored look. My Freiza Saga Goku is also a stand in for Scouter Vegeta too, though in the kamehaha-galick gun war.

I'd prefer a shirtless Kaio-ken Goku for Saiyan Saga. It seems to be the most popular/iconic look for him during his fight against Vegeta so I wouldn't be surprised if that's the direction Tamashii will go.

Those are good ideas with Trunks, misterW. Now I have to buy more.

Would you mind taking a picture? That sounds like a cool looking display!

And it would be great for a shirtless Goku altogether. They could actually just re-use the SWA mold, tear off what's left of the shirt and just repaint...looks like lazy Tamashii is back!

really? a PCE krillin?? that would be great if that's true, you guys have the official post? I did a quick google and found an article that they announced him back at the end of september at the Akiba showroom. The article was from toyhypeusa so i dont know how legit it is o_o

There is no confirmation on Premium Color Krillin from Tamashii Nations. The photo used was from September. If Tamashii Nations were going to announce a release date for Premium Color Krillin, he would have been on display last weekend.

Krillin will definitely have a comeback to the line. Whether it be Saiyan Saga or Frieza Saga in armor. Heck, even a Buu Saga would be pretty cool. Not sure when/if we'll see that though.

That's a good idea. If Tamashii Nations is really focused on these correlating releases, it may not hurt to include accessories for other characters in each other's packaging. It'll really get collectors invested in purchasing both releases.

As much as I like the Nappa prototype, I want anime colors. The SCultures Nappa is good enough in Manga/Arlia colors for me at the moment. Still really excited for Nappa and hopefully if he sells well they'll think of a battle damaged version down the road. I would really like to see a Saiyan Saga and Cell Saga Tien at some point, too. Hopefully he'll sell well. I have a feeling he will.

That's a good idea. If Tamashii Nations is really focused on these correlating releases, it may not hurt to include accessories for other characters in each other's packaging. It'll really get collectors invested in purchasing both releases.

Not all of them but certainly a good majority of them...

Piccolo could receive an entire 2.0 upgrade.
Super Saiyan Goku, Super Saiyan 3 Goku (prototype already shown), normal Goku, and Super Saiyan Blue Goku could all be released with the 2.0 body. Great way for Tamashii Nations to release a Dragon Ball Super Goku.
Super Saiyan (2) Gohan and Super Saiyan Vegeta have been given a 2.0 updgrade. (Super Saiyan Vegeta has been given a Premium Color release also.)
Future Trunks and Perfect Cell have been given Premium Color releases.
Scouter Vegeta has been given a 2.0 upgrade in a prototype that's just been revealed.
Final Form Frieza could either be given a Premium Color/SDCC Exclusive release or a 2.0 upgrade. The latter most likely being 100% Form.
Krillin could also be given a Premium Color/SDCC Exclusive release or a 2.0 upgrade from a different Saga.
Android 18 and 17 don't need any work done. Android 18 could be released in different attire though.
Broly was already considered an upgraded design in the line when he was released.
Android 16 could receive a Premium Color/SDCC Exclusive release if Tamashii Nations ever feels the need.
Vegito could be given a 2.0 upgrade if he appears in Dragon Ball Super.
Frieza Saga Goku could be released with a 2.0 body.
Golden Frieza doesn't need any work done.
Ultimate Gohan could be given a 2.0 upgrade with Goku's body and a newer head sculpt.
Super Warrior Awakening Goku and Future Trunks are 2.0 releases.
Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta could be released with a 2.0 body and a brand new head sculpt.
Lord Beerus is good enough even though he doesn't have the upgraded hip articulation and knee joints.
Whis is good as is in his current design.

only if they release battle damaged versions of previous releases like they're doing with SS2 Gohan, sure. A battle damaged Frieza/Namek Vegeta 2.0 (like during/after the battle with Recoome) would look badass.

If they look exactly the same as the 1.0's but only with OMg NEW KNEES and, depending on who you ask, an uglier pelvic region then that's a wasted effort imo

such a scenario will become Malibu Stacy all over again, and we don't want that now do we

Actually, no, it wouldn't be the same scenario. Malibu Stacy was the exact same doll but with a new accessory. That's no different than Tamashii Nations re-using the Goku mold, including a different accessory, and calling it a new release.

The Malibu Stacy company added a new accessory to grab the attention of complacent consumers. The re-use of the Goku mold, happening to be outdated, didn't sit well with a lot of collectors so Tamashii Nations decided to incorporate updates to the product.

I didnt really notice the color difference on nappa tbh haha but after googling some images the difference between arlia nappa and regular nappa arent too different but it's there. Hopefully he sells well and gives us more opportunities for other big characters too. I agree that tien will probably sell pretty well too, i think the proto is the cell saga one but a saiyan saga one would be shirtless, although for some reason i kind of like the look he has in tree of might with the white shirt lol

here's a few pics of my shelf, it's a bit cluttered, kind of want to clean it up but not sure how, it's nothing crazy since i dont have the room to make a more elaborate display :O oh and dont mind spider gwen on that wrecking ball lol

@FSLAR haha thanks senpai! finally noticed me! XD hmmm currrent going rates of RoF stuff? i think it's still relatively close to retail, but for goku watch out for the bootlegs. For some reason SSB goku is still kind of a favorite figure of mine, idk why, i just really like the design of it despite some of it's flaws

@bigdeano oh yeah forgot about that! oops my bad haha forgot about that scene since i didnt really rewatch the buu saga too many times at all tbh, i think there's also a manga panel of that scene too
