It's a shame cuz even though he's still technically "canon," we'll never truly see him again, at least within the canon timeline

It's a terrible shame. I like Gogeta's design better. I knew it was going to end up being Vegito when the Gowasu and Kaioshin showed up but I'm still really disappointed.
We'll probably never get a Figuarts Gogeta.

Gogeta has already been used in the movies and Toei/Toriyama likely didn't wanna have to take that design and character and further complicate canon between movies and the anime. I get why they chose Vegito and while Gogeta would've been cool, they kinda had their hands tied.

Anyone else have a feeling Vegito will become a recurring character? I'm sure they can come up with some way of making that happen. It's still early on as far as a series goes and we're already getting Vegito. Kinda feel like he'll always be that option for when **** hits the fan in later sagas

Oh my ****ing god that was an awesome episode. I can barely believe it, like the Galick Gun moment gave me chills, such an awesome mirror of goku and gohan in the cell saga. And then vegeta's move, ****ing great. Can't believe we're seeing Vegito.

The reason for it being Vegito is not that hard though: Vegeta can't exactly dance in this state and that's also if they'd remember the fusion dance and third Zamasu wouldn't let them. Gowasu or Kai are just gonna chuck them those earrings. I makes sense (for once).

Why vegito's look remains the same, IDK, maybe bandai was like hey can we please just reuse all our vegito molds?

Yeah, that way it also doesn't matter whether it matches anything else. If Vegito ssb is gonna win the day, then they've to me made a freakin fantastic fusion (pun unintened) of the cell and buu eras. Figuarts ssb Vegito and DBS Trunks please!:

Well with sincere respect to the animator's skills, that makes me happy they didn't. Granted I'm happy about that anyway cause I think they look awesome with SSB.

I really hope Vegito is gonna win the fight and compensate for the annoying way he was defeated in the Buu saga. Although I wonder how they're gonna separate now. The dragon balls, maybe, I guess?

Here's the solution: Gowasu gives them Potara earrings and briefly explains they aren't permanent like the old ones. Problem solved if it's not something like that then it'll be another simple answer that any one of us could easily guess

1 thing I've learned from Dragon Ball is that previously established rules are subject to change to accommodate the situation and they make a lot of things up as they go along

Toei set up Vegito being able to separate with Supreme Kai and Kibito. The namek dragonballs can do it with no issue apparently.

Still awesome to see Vegito, and it means we could see him more than this once with them being able to unfuse.
