My bet is yes. It will be without the World Tour sleeve and possibly the brown shipper box. It's the cheapest and easiest solution for SDCC and they know it will still sell like hotcakes.

Sure, if there's a demand for him.

I know they love their exclusives, but I can't see this whole thing being limited to only two days. If that's the case, my buddy on here who goes every year will probably be able to get me one. He's gotten me both Broly and Namek Goku the last two years.

I think the likelihood of this being the SDCC Exclusive as well will be high. So I think just being patient will pay off.

The price is gonna go down, just gotta be patient. The event just ended so it's a bad time to buy. He's also gonna be sold at the other World Tour events so there's gonna be more supply flooding the aftermarket. I think it'll settle somewhere between $100-150

Yep, he's a good guy Snake, gets me every year aswell :)

That's not good. That's not good at all :gah: :lol

I think that's a pretty fair price for an exclusive considering the time and money it takes to get the figure. I remember going to NYCC last year and having to wait in the cold for a good 3 hours and then wait again for another hour or so for the actual figures. Not to mention the $14 paid to enter the city from Jersey and traffic, it's a hassle through and through [emoji24]

Luckily I didn't have to go through that this year and got the figure anyways but to expect to find it for retail or slightly above is just not reasonable imo. All I'm really saying for those that want the Goku, wait til the hype dies out and then strike

Fun Fact: Apparently there was a roving gang of people from Image Anime buying up as much stock as possible of the Kaioken Goku. Please don't give them any more of your patronage unless you want to support this kind of problem

I would agree with this. Somewhere in the $120-$150 range seems like a reasonable price. Luckily I found out today that the Xenoverse Trunks figures heads don't fit Armored Trunks, so there's $50 I won't be spending.

I saw this on FB.

It's a nice checklist.

Looking at this checklist, where in the hell are the Majin Boo Figuarts?
Three distinct forms, one of which should have been released by now.

One of the best villains of DBZ and he gets no love from Bandai.

How did you find this out? I know they turned the Kaio-ken Goku exclusive price over to $260 but I didn't know they took as much stock as possible. I went Monday to check out their store and was very impressed with the layout. Didn't purchase anything but I would like to see stores like that across the country.

You can argue that it's been too long for an S.H.Figuarts release but Tamashii Nations has released a Figuarts Zero Kid Buu and is releasing a Figuarts Zero EX Super Buu.

Yeah, best to pretend we have never seen the super Buus or SSJ4 Goku, they will never be released with the old articulation at this point. Once we get to Majin Vegeta and Gotenks, then the chances of a Buu coming out will rise alot if we take into account tamashiis love of pairing figures.

I'm pairing Super Saiyan 3 and Super Saiyan God Goku together but I wouldn't be surprised to see Shenron pushed to November in Japan. This way, the western market can have him released around the holidays. Now that I'm thinking about it, Shenron must have been the "BIG" 2017 release that's been speculated for a long time now instead of Nappa.

Edited: How did we find out about the "BIG" release? Was it Newman who said that in the interview or 2nd hand along with Kid Goku being updated?

Too long? They are releasing figures from earlier than the Buu saga, so how would it be too long
to release any of Buu's forms?

Heck, you could release Big Buu under the Dragonball Super line, since he is in it.

You aren't thinking like a business, You are thinking like a collector. Tamashii will 9 times out of 10 go for what will sell, hence why ssj3 Goku is coming out so quickly. Buu will come when they are sure he will sell.

The face molds are different as well. I don't believe it has the 2.0 articulation in the hips either but I can see why they wouldn't incorporate them if the jacket hinders the articulation. I don't normally like to customize but I may have to do it just this once with the neck pegs.

That's the best way to predict how Tamashii will act. That's why it's not so surprising that SSG is coming out now rather than later. Coincides right with Super and builds up on the SSG hype. That being said, I could definitely see a Buu release either at the end of the year or announced for early next year with Kai airing

I really hope they release Buutenks and Buuhan as well as the other forms. I fell in love when I saw them those years ago and with the 2.0 upgrade they would be perfect figures

Despite the old mold, Kaio-ken Goku is still a pretty good figure. The energy effect is really cool in red.

I can easily see Tamashii Nations releasing a 2.0 Kaio-ken Goku battle damaged. They already have the legs and they can reuse the damaged belt from Super Warrior Awakening and Tien's torso without the scar.

I like the kamehameha but lets not forget, it's still a downgrade from what it originally looked like
